twenty two

I decided on black leggings and a black long-sleeved shirt with a olive green infinity scarf and vest. I put on my black combat boots and made some very light curls in my hair.(Outfit in media)

"Mom, I'm ready!" I shouted and she replied from her room, so I walked to her.

"I'm almost done too, you look cute Aves. Although, it's raining so you might wanna bring an umbrella or wear a hoodie," She told me and I walked to her vanity before picking up her black beanie.

"Can I wear this?" I asked shyly and she nodded.

"You don't have to ask, just go for it," She said, adjusting it on my head. "Awe, you look so cute!" She exclaimed before kissing my cheek.

"I'll be right there, gimme two minutes to go use the restroom," Mom ran to the bathroom.

I sighed before walking to the living room and unlocking my phone.

I tweeted and instantly replies came pouring through, but one caught my eye.

@tayjaguar: HA! Typical Lo! You'll be lucky if you even make the mall before dusk lol

Smiling, I clicked on her profile before following her and DMing her.

@AveriJauregui: Hey Tay, how're you?

She replied back moments later.

@tayjaguar: I'm good tanks...what your iMessage so I can text you. I wanna get to know my lil niece.

I laughed before responding 

@AveriJauregui: It's ajauregui@iCloud.com and I'm only 4 years younger than you loll

Minutes later, I got a text from an unknown number, imediately recognizing it as Taylor's.

Taylor: Exactly. 4 whole years. You're practically a fetus.

Averi: Okay, than you're a grandma!

I told her before changing her contact name to "Aunty Grandma"

"Whose got you laughing this hard?" Mom interuptted my conversation. "It better not be a boy or so God help me-" She began.

"Mom! Chill, it was only Tay," I told her and she instantly smiled.

"Awe, my two favorite girls are talking!" She exclaimed before grabbing her purse and keys.

We walked out the front door and into the elevator.

"Hey Mom?" I began. "Do you think Taylor can fly over? I really wanna get to know her," I asked, nervously.

Mom smiled and nodded, "That's a great idea! And she can stay all next week and during her Thanksgiving break," She explained and my excitement grew.

"Really? Thanks!!" I happily pulled out my phone to text her.

Averi: Guess what?!?

Aunty Grandma: Whet fetus?

Averi: I talked to Mom and she said you could come next week and stay for two weeks, if you wanted to!

Aunty Grandma: OMF yes! That'd be great!

Averi: Yayy! Mom still has to talk to your mom but I'm so excited!

Aunty Grandma: Me too! 

"Aves, get in the car babe," my mom called and I looked to see we were already at the car.

"She said she wants to come!" I told her and she smiled.

"I really miss her and I'm so glad you two are friends," She grinned and I nodded in agreement.

"Now let's have a day of fun!" Mom shouted and turned the radio to the loudest possible volume.

"I'm so exhausted!" I whined as we approached the front door, nearly six hours later.

"I second that," Mom groaned and unlocked the door.

"If my feet could, they would kill me right now," I continued and she laughed and fell onto the couch.

"I sleepy" Mom yawned.

"Then go to sleep," I replied back.

"I need to change my clot-" She stopped mid-sentence.

"Mom?" I asked, and got up when I heard no response, laughing at the sight before me.

I opened my Twitter app and took a picture of my mom, passed out on the couch.

I took the bags of clothes and put them away, and got ready for bed. Finally, I got into bed and looked at my phone to see a new text.

Aunty Grandma: Lmao that's what happens when you're a old woman *pic of Lauren sleeping*

I laughed out loud before replying.

Averi: I can sense that this is the beginning of a great friendship (:

And that's what we did for the rest of the night.
