I huffed as another branch hit me. Harry turned back to check if I was alright before continuing up the hill. I followed him until I got to the tree line and I couldn't help but gape at the sight before me.

"Wow" I stepped forward as Harry stepped to the side "it's beautiful"
"Yeah" I heard him step closer "it is" I turned to see him looking right at me. I couldn't help but blush.
I know I shouldn't be blushing at the fact that a vampire just complimented me. And I know that I shouldn't be here with him right now yet I am.
He held his hand out and nodded over to the edge of the cliff "come on" I gave him a look before taking his hand. He looked down at our hands before clearing his throat and pulling me closer to the edge.
He sat down and patted the spot next to him. He looked up when I didn't sit down "I don't bite"
I gave him a look which he sighed at "OK bad joke but seriously I won't hurt you" I slowly sat down on the grass next to him as I stared at the glowing lights of our city.
"How'd you know about this place?" Harry leant back on his hands as he looked ahead "I found it ages ago when I was hunting, no one knows about it. It's kind of my hideaway. I spend most of my nights up here"
I was surprised at how much he's opening up to me, a stranger and a hunter.
"What do you hide from up here?" I rested my elbows on my knees as I waited for a reply.
"Mostly my friends" he let out a dry laugh as he sat up "not really friends more like assholes"
"Then why do you hang out with them?" He sighed and finally faced me "because they were there for me when I turned"
He looked deep up in thought and out of instant I placed my hand on his which seemed to bring him back to reality as he stared at my hand on his. He looked up into my eyes and it gave me the chance to fully take a look of him.
I hate to admit it but he's beautiful.
His gaze landed to my mouth and my eyes widened briefly when he started to lean in. We shouldn't be done my this. It's completely wrong. We're supposed to kill each other not kiss.
My body thought differently as I leaned in closer, closing my eyes just as our lips brushed. I couldn't ignore that voice in the back of my head screaming that I want it.
I hate to admit it but I do.
His lips lightly pressed onto mine, not moving in case I wanted to pull away but I didn't. I added pressure and moved my lips with his after he gave in. He placed a hand on my cheek as we kissed, my skin immediately heating up at the touch. The kiss was innocent and not rushed.
Before we could get carried away he pulled back and created a distance between us "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me"
I bit my lip as I looked away as it went awkwardly quiet. I just kissed a vampire.
What's wrong with me?
I wrapped my arms around myself when the wind blew, cursing at myself for not wearing a bigger jacket.
My thoughts were stopped by something being rested on my shoulders. I looked down seeing a heavy leather jacket resting on my shoulders. I looked up to Harry as he rolled his sleeves up "I was gonna offer some body heat but..." I smiled at how cute he looked when he smiled at me.
One of them branches must've hit me hard.
Harry's POV
I don't know how long we've been here but I know it's been a long time. Shortly after our kiss Rachel started to get tired and after convincing her, she rested her head on my lap. Now she's fast asleep as I played with her hair.
This feels normal.
I couldn't help but kiss her and I know she feels something otherwise she would've pushed me away but she kissed back. I had to stop myself before we got too carried away because of my urges.
What makes my heart sink though is the fact that I know this isn't gonna work.
I watched as the sun started to rise as I held her body to mine. She didn't seem affected by the coldness of my body as she was cuddled into me.
I took one more look at her before picking her up as I started my way back to her house. It took me about half the time it did for us to get to the cliff as I climbed through her window.
I pulled the covers back before laying her down. I took my jacket off of her before taking her shoes off. I pulled the covers up to her chin and kissed her forehead.
I wanted nothing more than to lay next to her and watch her sleep, freaky I know.
I looked at her door to make sure it was locked before laying down beside her. I rested my head close to hers as I watched her chest slowly rise and fall.
I'll only stay here for a few minutes, that's it.
Rachel's POV
I groaned and turned onto my side as tried to hide my face away from the sun coming in through my open curtains. However my chest was met with something hard.
My eyes opened to see a green pair staring at me. I jumped back a tiny bit in shock before calming when Harry smirked. I gave him a look when he continued to smirk at me "what?"
"You're cute when you sleep" I pushed him away before sitting up to check the time to see it way past ten.
That was the longest I've ever slept without having a nightmare.
"What are you doing here?" Harry followed me and rested against the head board "you fell asleep on me out there"
I raised a brow "and why are you still here?" He shrugged his shoulders "cause I wanted to"
"You do know I live with other hunters and they could've walked in" He pointed to my door "it's locked"
There was a knock at the door causing both of us to freeze "Rach? It's me, can we talk?"
