One Rainy Night....

Chapter Eleven

Anabel's POV

I entered the house and Astrid and Ethan followed me inside it was dark I reached for the light switch and the lights came on I noticed a note on the kitchen counter I quickly read it

Hey Bel we went for some coffee and a walk when you return pay me a call
Scarlett

I decided to text her instead
Annabel: hey Scarlett
Try not to come home for the next hour
Scarlett: what's up?
Something wrong?
Annabel: no just preparing a surprise party for Lukas
Scarlett: how did you know about his BD
He told you?
Annabel: LOL no the birds told me
Look I'll explain everything later just keep him away till I tell you to return home okay?
Scarlett: yeah sure okay

"Is everything okay?" Asked Astrid
"Yeah I was telling Scarlett to avoid coming here meanwhile till everything is prepared"
"So what are we doing now?" Ethan interrupted
"You two start decorating I'll get the cake , drinks and our group of friends"
"Perfect" Ethan agreed
"Sis give me a hug before you go I really missed you"
"Oh missed you too Astrid" I said hugging her tightly then left to get everything ready for our big surprise

I called everyone and they were excited to come I didn't expect that they would love Lukas so fast however that was so good

I went to the store I ordered the cake from earlier when I was on my way back from the airport

"Good afternoon" I said "I've ordered a chocolate cake today morning written on it 'happy birthday dearest Lukas'"

The guy in front of me half smirked "is it for your boy friend?" He asked
"Not exactly Freddie" I said reading his name tag

"Then he's your crush"
"Yeah you can say sort of .... Hey do you read people's mind?"
"Well no I'm not Edward Cullen but I have a gift of reading people well"
"Hhhhh it's nice to meet you Freddie"
"It's nice to meet you too ...."
"Annabel"
"Good nice to meet you Annabel " he said "here's your cake "
"Thank you bye"
"Bye"

I headed to the supermarket and bought some soft drinks

By the time I returned home it was perfectly decorated "wow guys you did a very good job"
"Well Ethan is on his way to get an interior designer degree"
"Yeah I can tell" I said looking at the decorations

I put the cake and the drinks in the fridge and went to my room to get ready I told Astrid and Ethan to do too

Lukas' POV

"Scarlett I thought you said we were going home "
"I decided we needed some friends time that's first and second we should do some workouts every now and then so walking or jogging is a good one"
" I guess that's my punishment for drinking"
"Yeah maybe that too"she giggled

We jogged while chatting I was curious to ask her about something and I did "Scarlett since I'm your guy best friend I have all the right to ask you about boys"
She burst out laughing
"What do you wanna know?"
"A crush? Maybe a boyfriend?"
"No and no" she said "but I had a boyfriend once but we broke up"
"What for?"
"Uh he cheated on me and anyway he was a total jerk Bel kept warning me but I was too blind to see her point however it took me only two weeks to get over him and thanks to Bel of course"
"Do you have any brothers?"
"No"
"Okay then can I have the pleasure of being your brother?"
"Hhh you already are my friend"
"Now if any jerk comes near you he'll have to deal with me first but when the right guy comes i'll tell you he is"
"Yes and we can put plans to test them" she joked
"Yeah sure a lot of them" I put in with her
"We're talking as if all the guys are stunned by me and wants to be with me let's face realty man that won't happen"
"Scarlett come on you're amazing if I wasn't in love with Bel I would've dated you"
She laughed again
