One Rainy Night....

Chapter Two

Annabel's POV
I've gone to Scarlett and told her everything in detail
"That ... that's horrible"she said
"Yeah it is ....... I don't know why but I feel like helping him"
"Then go head You know what's right to do and I think you found him for a reason maybe fate wants you to help him"
"Right"
"Okay come lets go to bed it's becoming late"
"Okay Scarlett I'll go to visit the hospital tomorrow .... You mind?"
"No of course not"
"Great"

Next morning

When I woke up Scarlett was still asleep she never wakes up early anyway I left her a note saying that I've gone to the hospital

When I reached the hospital Lukas was asleep and again I found myself staring at him remembering him saying 'let me die' and felt a wave of sadness rushing through my body

He looked peaceful while sleeping and I couldn't help but to keep staring

After about 15 minutes he woke up
"Good morning" I said
"Good morning"
"I came .... I kept my promise"
"Yeah"
"Um I think your family should know you're here they must be so worried can I take any of their phone numbers to call them?"
"I don't have any family"
"Oh I'm sorry .... uh um where do you live?"
"I don't live in a constant place"he said and looked at me for a while and said " I used to live with my aunt but she kicked me out"
"Oh and why?"
"I used to return every night drunk and the smell of cigarettes coming out of my mouth she ordered me not to come back except when I give up drinking and smoking"
"And why didn't you?"
"I can't okay I can't I've tried so many times but I couldn't" he shouted

I looked at him and he looked at me back he calmed down and continued "I don't want to live with her anyway"
"You hate her?"
"No she does I'm nearly invisible to her"

Lukas' POV

She looked at me and I could see sadness in her eyes and she put her hand on my shoulder supporting but the question here was why? She's a total stranger anyway why is she treating me as if we were some old friends or something

"Why?" I asked
"Why what?"
"Why did you come ? Why did you want to come if what you said yesterday was true? Why didn't you just throw me here and left?"
"I honestly don't know exactly but there's something about you that makes me think deeply about my life cuz my life is nearly perfect I don't have any kind of problems in life and your life seems miserable and it's not fair so I decided either to help you get out of your problems or to face them with you"
"I don't need your pity okay?"
"It's not pity and part of it is about me not just you ... plus from at least a million people in this city I found you that sure has something to do"
"I can't believe you simply I've been alone for years and I can't just change that now so easily"
"But I can help I'm sure I can"
"I don't want your help isn't it obvious" I said sharply
"But---"
"Cut it off Annabel it's over"
I was about to continue saying 'now go and leave me alone' when another girl entered the room
"Uh Annabel" she said
"Hey Scarlett .... Um Lukas Scarlett, Scarlett Lukas"
"Hi" Scarlett said "Nice to meet you"
"Can you leave me alone?" I screamed"get the heck out of here okay"

Annabel's POV

I got out with Scarlett and called for the nurse to give him a drug or something I watched from outside the door the nurse trying to give him the pill and him refusing to take it and then it all turned to a nervous breakdown

After a minute or so when he refused to take the pill the nurse called the doctor before I knew it there were three nurses and a doctor in his room
The nurses held him tight giving the chance to the doctor to inject him with some drugs
"Let's go we'll check on him tomorrow" Scarlett said taking me by the hand when I realized I was crying the whole time
