Hey guys :3 Since people have been asking about this, I'll just clear it up if there is someone that wonders about it too. Sal is mute, he doesn't speak, so the italics means they're talking in sign language. I know that in sign language the sentences are differently structured than in normal english but imagine I'm a translator. I'm translating what they really say to normal english xD And  you will learn more about Sal as you read the story, I won't tell you anything that I plan on explaining later on. What and spoil the fun of reading it yourself? No way :P I'm just mean like that *evil cackle*

Without anything else to say,

I hope you enjoy the chapter :D

By the time the bell for recess rang I was desperate, and I meant like literally desperate. I wanted to be with Ollie, alone, no Ennie, no Em, no Dust, and no Kev. No anyone except for us two. I wanted to talk to him about the singing thing, I wanted him to understand that he didn’t have to sing for us but that it would be great if he did. But again, there was no pressure or anything for him to take the position as lead singer. We still had Em, and her voice was good, though I still thought it didn’t sound quite as good with our style. Anyway, by the time recess rolled around I literally grabbed my shit in no time flat and ran to meet Ollie outside of his class.

When I reached the classroom I stopped and took a few seconds to calm myself. I was a little out of breath and still had my notebooks in my hand, not even wasting time in putting them away. I put them in my bag as I saw the people in the classroom begin to walk out keeping an eye out for Ollie. Finally, I saw him walking out of the classroom and I smiled for about three seconds until I saw his tense stand and the way he looked like he needed a break in the worst possible way. Em was beside him and she looked less than happy. Oh God Em was with him. She had to have grilled him, I sure of that. She probably gave him the third degree about why he didn’t want to sing for us. Before she was pissed at me for suggesting we needed a new vocalist and now she was all for it, who understood her?

“Hey Sal,” Em said giving me a smile.

I waved at her as I went immediately towards Ollie and grabbed his hand looking up into his face with a little of concern. He shook his head a little and I sighed turning back to Em. She really needed to know when to not fight a battle.

“Good thing you’re here, I need you to convince your boyfriend to sing for us,” Em said in a teasing tone though I knew she really wasn’t.

I shook my head and just pulled Ollie away, not even sparing a second to tell her we weren’t going to the music classroom today. I pulled Ollie along the halls until finally I found an empty classroom and went in, closing the door behind me. Ollie sighed and slumped into one of the chairs. If you asked me, he looked a little bone tired.
