Dean's POV

As I walked away from Jack it suddenly struck me. If we broke up, I'd have nothing. He was the only one who'd been there for me, not only through everything I'd been through with James, but ever since we met. He wasn't just my boyfriend, he was my best friend too.

I quickly turned around, ready to run back into his arms... But he was already gone... He... He'd actually let me go... Like he didn't even care.

I shook my head and turned around again. I couldn't let this distract me. I had to focus on finding Daniel. But now, I knew where he was...

I don't know how long it took me to get there, but all I know is that wherever Daniel is, James will be there too. And that thought tortured me to whole way there. It wasn't until I reached the path leading up to Dan and Oliver's house that I realised I shouldn't have come here alone. But it was too late to back down now.

My eye caught a glimpse of something move in the window, and I instantly knew what it was...

James has seen me.

There's definitely no turning back now...

As I took a step forward, the door swung open. And stood there, leaning against the doorframe, was James, smirking at me.

"Long time no see, Deany bear." His voice sent a shiver down my spine. I just stood there, glaring at him. Too afraid to move, but I knew I couldn't show it.

"You know why I'm here. Where is he?" I growled at him.

He laughed.

"He's alive... For now. That's all that matters."

I walked closer to him before punching him straight in the face. He just laughed at me, as if the punch didn't affect him at all.

"Where the fuck is he?!" I shouted.

Oliver suddenly appeared behind James, a large gauze, almost completely drenched in blood, over his eye.

"He's alive..." Oliver muttered.

I glanced at Oliver and then back at James, the shock all too clear on my face...

"Just let him go! He hasn't done anything wrong!" I shouted, tears forming in my eyes.

"See, that's where you're wrong baby." James chuckled, stepping closer to me. "He existed. That's what he's done wrong. He's the exact same as you... Pure scum."

"Please... Just let him go..." I said, masking the fear in my voice with a facade of bravery.

"Why should I do that?" James laughed.

I slowly walked towards him so our faces were barely inches away.

I'm sorry, Jack... I'm so sorry...

"Because it should be me. I miss you sweetie..." I said softly.

James smirked.

"I never loved Jack, it was always you... Please take me back..." I lightly kissed his cheek.

He gently stroked my hair.
