Forbidden purple- a Donatello Love Story (TMNT)

Chapter 4

                                                                                          Donnie's POV

A couple of minuets after I left Melody in my room, (I found out her name because her katana that Mikey was carrying had her name engraved onto it) I walked over to the dojo to find master Splinter meditating,

''Sensei, she's awake and has agreed to talk to us, should I bring her into the living room now?'' I asked him, he stood up and walked over to me. He stopped in front of me and he looked down to me,

''yes my son, I shall gather your brothers whilst you fetch the young lady'' he said to me and left to go and get my brothers. I walked back over to my room and stopped outside the door I was about to knock when I heard someone crying inside it was melody,

''worthless, pathetic, why should I live when I tell them the truth they are gonna kill me anyway'' I heard her sobbing inside I walked into the room and saw her sitting on the bed, tears everywhere at least that first I thought that it was tears when I walked up to her and got a better look it wasn't tears it was.................. blood!

I looked down at her and saw her cutting her wrists in tears with a shard of glass, I instantly ran over to her panicking about what I should do, I sat next to her and immediately pulled her into my arms hugging her close to me stroking her hair to try and calm her down, I was heartbroken to see her like this I don't know why I was, but I was.

''Melody, Melody please calm down its okay now, i'm here speak to me please tell me what's wrong'' I said to her as calmly as my voice would let me, she was shaking,

''I cant if I tell you the truth you'll kill meeeee'' she cried even harder, I pulled her closer to me and rested my head on top of hers gently,

''I would never do that Melody please tell me what's wrong'' I said to her she was shaking so much that the glass shard she was holding onto fell to the ground and shattered further, she took a deep breath and calmed down as much as she could before beginning to speak,

''Its my family'' she sobbed quietly looking up at me with puffy red eyes and her hair all messed up.

''What about them'' I asked softly still holding on to her and looking gently into her sapphire blue eyes that were filled with tears,

''they hate me, they torture me, train me in the harshest way possible until I faint of exhaustion and when that happens they just beat me more I cant get away from them and I cant stand up to them, my father and my sister are made of pure evil and I just cant live with them anymore!'' she cried I pulled her close to me,

''shh its okay I'll help you I promise we can work things out with them I know it'' I said to her in a re-assuring tone, suddenly she shook her head and pulled away from me, I gave her a confused look,

''you cant, you know who my family are you hate them, you want them dead and they want you dead too, if it were that easy to kill my father and sister I would have done it a long time ago'' she sobbed as she started to breath faster looking at me with an expression of pure fear on her face. ''Melody, who are they please tell me you can trust me'' I said gently placing my hand on her shoulder she looked at me and took a deep breath,

''Karai Saki and Oroku Saki, they are my older sister and my father'' she said looking down to the ground squeezing her eyes shut, 'she must think i'm going to attack her' I thought to myself I mean yeah this was big news and really surprising but I could tell that Melody was not like them why else would she try to commit suicide to escape them.

I smiled softly and wrapped her up in my arms again, she looked up at me confused at my reaction,

''Your not..... g-gonna hurt me?'' she said shakily I shook my head and smiled at her softly I pulled away from the hug and gently took her by the hands and started to wrap up her cut up wrists as carefully as I could, making sure not to hurt her.

''no way, they may be your blood family but that's not who you are I can tell you are different from them you are kind, caring and you fight with honour and prosperity I could see it when you were 'sparing' with Karai'' I said softly as I finished wrapping her wrists up in the bandages, she looked at me confused for a moment then smiled back at me and hugged me tight.

''Thank you Donatello, thank you for believing me and trusting me, i'm....i'm glad I met you'' she said into my plastron I smiled down at her and hugged her back

''you don't need to thank me Melody, i'm glad we met too'' I said to her ''and Melody? call me Donnie or Don'' we pulled back from the hug she smiled at me and walked over to the bathroom that was attached to my room to freshen up and tidy her hair, I watched her go with a smile then I started to sweep up the broken glass thinking about how my brothers and sensei would react to her story, 'well whatever happens I'll have to back her up and protect her' I thought to myself. I don't know why but this girl was special, special to me at least.
