So, your Clan has to be populated. Your hero(s) and villain(s) can't be the only characters. They need mates, siblings, parents, friends, and background characters.
So these characters generally aren't as important or developed as the main characters, which is fine. However, they need personalities and appearances, too.
There will be a lot of characters like this, as you need to populate your Clan(s). It's best if these cats just have normal, but not cliche, personalities.
I like to invent short backstories for my background characters, it really helps to develop them and their personalities. This is optional, but it's useful.
I don't need to touch upon this too much, I don't think. If you have anything to add, then please do, but I think these characters are pretty simple.
