My Family

Crimson (P.O.V)

"I'm wearing the converse and you can't make me change my mind!" I shout towards my sister while pouting.

"Fine then, didn't realize how much you hated high heels." She mumbles. We get into my aunts car and head on towards the restaurant. I'm a little worried to find out if my dad did anything to Adrian. I hope not.

When we arrive I'm greeted with a lot of familiar faces. I get tons of hugs from all my uncles and aunts. I spot Adrian sitting down on his phone. I slightly tap his shoulder.

"Is this seat taken?" I ask suggesting to the chair next to him.

"Yes, it's taken by the most beautiful girl in this room......... you." He replys. I give a soft giggled and sit down next to him.

"Hey, blonde! Stop drooling over my daughter." I look behind me to see my dad leaning against a nearby wall. I sigh.

"So who is this young fello?" A voice asks from behind me. I look to see my cousin Chris staring straight at me with greedy eyes and a smirk. I roll my eyes.

"Why do you care?" I ask not even looking at him.

"Oh I know, he's your boy-"

"Yeah whatever go sit down" I say before he can finish his sentence. Chris walks away snickering. I glance over at Adrian and notice a giant grin plastered on his face. I elbow him so he can stop. He gave me a frown, but then just went back to smiling again.

After we ordered the food for everyone of course me always being very shy but picky when I order my food. As we wait the conversation is mostly about how everyone's doing. That's until Chris brings up how Adrian's my boyfriend.

My entire family is now staring at me and some are asking a billion questions. My aunt is just mumbling spanish words under her breath while my uncle goes on about how good of a girl I am. My mom doesn't seem to mind anything right now. My dad just keeps an eye on Adrian probably to see if he is going to try and make a move on me.

Once the food finally arrives people stop talking and start eating. My sister on the other hand won't stop talking with our cousin Vanessa. Those two wouldn't stop talking if their life depended on it. When the waiter gives me my food I dig in as if I hadn't eaten in forever. Of course I ordered the strangest combination of food. Fried rice, sprite soda, tacos, quesadillas, pupusas, french fries, tamales, and of course alfredo chicken. Adrain gave me a strange look.

"Can you even finish all of that, it's like a meal for 8" he asks surprised. My grandma laughs at him.

"Mijo, she's a Landa, she can eat food that's meant for 10 and finish it all and still have desert." My grandma says.

"Wait Landa? I thought your last name was Scarlet?" Adrain asks. I swallow my food then reply.

"Well my full name is Crimson Scarlet Landa. Scarlet is actually just my middle name." I give a soft giggle. "Sorry I didn't tell you"

Then when the waiter brings Adrian's food my entire family eyes his plate. I whisper to him very softly so no one else hears.

"Get ready." Is all I said before my grandma had called the waiter and started ordering more food.

"For what?" He asks.

"Mijo your plate has almost nothing on it, no wonder you're all skin and bones" my grandma gave him a weary look. I could tell Adrian was confused.

Soon the waiter came with the more food that my grandma ordered. He placed it all in front of Adrain. "Um excuse me waiter I think u got the wrong person to give this food too" Adrain spoke.

"No mijo it's for you eat up." My grandma said then returned to eating her food. I slightly giggled, Adrain just glared.

"Yeah mijo eat up" I said mimicking my grandmother. Adrain shot me another glare while I just giggled.

By the time I was finished with my meal, Adrian was barely finished with half of his. "Hey you don't have to finish it we can save it as leftovers if you want" I told him. He turned his head to face me.

"Good because I can't keep hiding some food in my pockets" He says gesturing towards his pockets filled with rice. I give him a goofy grin. Then I let out a small burp.

"That's the best you can do Crim?" Asks Chris then he makes a louder burp than my smaller one. He then smirks as if he won the battle. My uncles decide to join in while my aunts, grandma, mom, and girl cousins just watch. My dad has the biggest burp so far so I decide to do my best.

I burp and it's the loudest I've ever done. I smirk and look at everyone's faces wich aren't to much surprised that I won. Chris looks over at Adrain.

"Hey, blonde! Can you give us a burp" Chris basically yells from across the table. I look over to see Adrain, he seems like he doesn't know what Chris is talking about. I laugh a little and give him a big pat on the back. He burps, but not very loud. My cousin frowns Adrain just slouches in his seat.

By now everyone has already finished their food but are all talking. I notice Adrain isn't having a good time anymore probably because he didn't do so good in our burping competition. I sigh as I get up and grab his arm dragging him outside.

"Hey what's up with you?" I ask when we reach outside. By now the sun has already set and the stars are out.

"Nothing" he says looking down at the ground.

"Hey frowny face" I say as I poke his cheek "turn your frown upside down" he only shakes his head saying no. I lean up since he's a bit taller than me and give him a quick kiss but before I can pull away he wraps his arms around my waist making the kiss longer and more passionate.

"You have a nice family."
