Almost two weeks later, I yawned in Physics. Sam grinned wickedly. “Nick keep you up all night, then?”

I glared at him. “Points on the subtlety, Sam, its really extraordinary.”

            “Hey, I’m a guy.”

“And I suppose guy is a synonym for blatantly obvious here?”

“What, guys are all geniuses in England?”

“I’m just tired, Sam. It’s called insomnia. End of story, no insinuations.”

“Whatever.” He leaned back to Nick’s table. “So Nick, how’s Gemma?” he asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

Jack overheard and cut in, “Shut up and sod off, mate.” A group of girls giggled and sighed at his accent. I rolled my eyes.

“Dude, mind your own business,” Nick told Sam.

The bell rang and everyone shoved their things in their bags to get out of the room quickly. When we got outside Nick wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. “So, what are we doing tonight?”

I pushed my fringe away from my face. “You’re the one who knows what do to around here. I know what I’d do in London, but not in this town.”

“Hmm. Good point.” Then he grinned evilly. “So you’d be willing to do anything I plan for us to do?” He had been making moves on me since the night he asked me to officially be his girlfriend. Moves that I had successfully turned down every time, but he was still determined to try to get me into bed.

I raised an eyebrow. “Now, did I ever say that? I think not. But now we know what you think about.” I smiled up at him.

“Oh, give me a break. Its not like every other guy that looks at you is thinking anything else.”

            “I find that disturbing.”

He grinned. “Better get used to it, babe. You have to live in the body for quite a number of years.”

“You did not just call me ‘babe’, Nick Williams.”

            Nick frowned. “Why not?”

“Because the last time I checked, my name was not Babe.”

Nick sighed dramatically. “Gemma, you are ruining a perfectly good conversation.”

“That is your definition of a perfectly good conversation? All we were talking about was that guys think of me in perverted ways!”

“Its true, you know,” said Sean as he walked up to us.

I groaned and buried my face into Nick’s shirt. Could they never get their minds on a different subject?

“I think she objects to us talking about her like that.”

“Yes, I do.” I said, but it was muffled by Nick’s shirt. He smelled nice.

“What was that?” Nick asked, laughing.

I pulled far enough away from him to speak. “Yes, I do.”
