Love at first sight

Chapter 17: Engagement Party

Lexi's P.O.V. 

It's been two weeks since Niall proposed and tonight was our Engagement Party. I was nervous because all of my friends and family would be there but so would all of his friends and family. We decided to have it at a club but we rented the place out so that even people under age could come. It was the first time we publicly announcing it, everyone just thought we were just throwing a party for no reason. It was about 7:30 and I only had an half an hour until we had to leave. The party started at 8:30 but the limo was picking us up from my house at 8. I french braided one side of my hair back and all of it fell in long loose curls. I started applying foundation, then some light blush. I then applied some dark eyeshadows in a smokey-eye look. I put on some liquid eyeliner and then mascara. I then slipped on my black tight lace dress. I put on my black pumps and applied some red lipstick. When I was finished with my appearance it was already 7:55 so I ran over to the room that Niall was getting ready in and tried to sneak a peek. He had is hair gelled into a quiff. He was wearing some nice black slacks, some black dress shoes, a white buttoned up shirt with a black tuxedo-like jacket. I sneaked up on him and wrapped my arms around his waist from behind as he was fiddling with his phone. He was surprised when I snuck up on him. He turned around and wrapped his arms around my waist, while i rested my hands at the nape of his neck. "You look so beautiful" he said kissing my cheek.

"You look so handsome" I said while placing my lips gently on his. "Sorry I have lipstick on." I said giggling.

"Its okay I forgot to put mine on." he said chuckling making me laugh even louder. He was so damn cute. "Limo is outside waiting for us." he said breaking our little funny moment.

"Alrighty, you ready?" I asked grabbing his hand in my smaller one and heading out the bedroom door. 

"Now I am with you here by my side." he said making me blush uncontrollably. He had this effect on me that I can't help. He laughed and kissed my burning cheeks, "No need to be embarassed love."

We walked down the stairs and everyone was already in the limo. Well everyone as in, my mom, Jakob, Zach, and Emily. The limo ride was pretty quiet as our nerves was enough to be heard miles away.

When we finally got to the club, we got out last while everyone else filled the empty building. There was a list of people who were invited so that no one uninvited would show up. There was also security set up everywhere. When we first got into the building we were greeted by many unfamiliar faces. I first met Niall's mom, dad, and brother. Then I greeted the handsome 4 boys waiting patiently to get our attention. I hugged each and every one of them tightly because I had grown fond of them like brothers or best friends since I had moved to England. "You guys flew all the way down here for our party?" I asked really astonished. 

"Of course!" they all said at the same time. 

"You guys are our family too." Liam said while putting his arm around Niall's shoulder. They had such a cute brotherly bond all five of them.

Once everyone started showing up like all of my friends, I decided it was time to take Niall to the stage and announce our big news.

I grabbed his hand as we made our way to the stage. I had been really cautious of not flaunting off my ring. Once we were on the stage, he grabbed the mics from the dj and handed one to me. 

"Hey you guys I'm Niall for those of you who I haven't been able to meet yet." 

"and I'm Alexandra for those of you who I haven't met also." I took in a deep breath while Niall wrapped his arm around my waist. He held me close as he started talking again.

"For those of you wondering why we out of the blue invinted you to a random party, Its to celebrate, First of all we want to thank you for all showing up." he said gesturing for me to continue on. 

"Niall and I have recently become engaged and wanted to share the news with all of you because you are near and dear to our hearts." I said as Niall picked up my left hand and showed everyone the diamond ring on my finger. 

Everyone awed and ooed and yelled congrats our way. 

We then walked off stage as the music begain playing again and everyone came our way to show their happiness and joy for us.

After hours of dancing and chatting with people the party had come to an end. It was around 1 and everyone had left so we decided to call a cab and go home as well.

When we got into the cab we started chatting about the great night. When we finally arrived home we were exhausted so we went straight upstairs after saying goodnight. I closed the door behind me as Niall started stripping down his clothes for bed. He went to the bathroom to take his pants off and put some sweats on while I changed. I took my dress off while taking my hair out of the small braid on the side. I was still in my undergarments when Niall walked in. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to walk in on you." he said turning around. I giggled softly and grabbed my long t-shirt that went to my mid-thigh. 

"It's okay Niall. Don't worry about it." I said as he turned around blushing timidly. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him kissing him passionately as he picked me up and carried me over to the bed. We were still in our kiss when he pulled away laying down on the bed and pulling me close to him again. He kissed me on the nose," you know you're perfect. There isn't one thing I don't love about you." he said softly whispering into my ear as he kissed my neck. 

"Even my scars?" I asked tearing up now from his thoughtful and caring words. For once in my life, I had finally found someone who completed me. I gently closed my eyes as he whispered the next words lingering on his soft pink lips.

"Even your scars." he kissed my cheek. 

His arms wrapped around me as I started to fall into a deep dreamless sleep.

He gently rubbed circles into my back, whispering soothing words into my ear.

He was comforting me.

The sound of his voice, calmed my loud sobs echoing in the silent room.

All the pain started to fade away and so did the scars.

He made me believe that he loved me and truly cared about me.

And for once...

I was home.

Like what I did there? I used the beginning of chapter 5 in this chapter. She was dreaming in chapter 5 but now it was real:)

Anyways there is going to be a book #2 after this story so don't worry :)
