Love at first sight

Love at first sight: Intro

Pain. Searing pain, through my body just thinking about it. I set the picture of my family down on the fireplace in my new flat in London.

You may be wondering? What is a girl from Texas doing all the way in London? Well it all started a few years ago.

My family consists of my Mother, my two younger brothers and my baby sister. A few years ago my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer from smoking all of his life. He died at the beginning of this year after fighting for years but now he's in a better place looking down and protecting my family and I.

My mother was strong at first but it has taken a toll in all of our lives.

My brothers are Jakob,11; and Zach,10. My sister Emily, is five.

My family was perfect but since my dad died things just haven't been the same.

We're getting through it though and staying close. Since I'm 19, I needed to start my life where I wanted to and I had always loved London and especially the people there.

My flat was just a few miles away from the college where I could take classes. I still am going to visit my family but I need to start my own life so I can also then be able to help my family out if I need to.

My flat was pretty small but for me it was big. It had 1 master bedroom and 2 guest bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and was two stories. My bedroom was upstairs with a huge bathroom and down the hall was one of the guest bedrooms with a bathroom next door.

The other guest bedroom was downstairs with a guest bathroom. The laundry room was downstairs also.

I had plenty of room if my family wanted to come and visit me.

I had just finished unpacking, when I got a phone call from the college. They needed my paperwork so I grabbed my Honda accord car keys and walked out the door locking it behind me.

I've been in London for a week now and haven't gotten out much because I have no friends here. I left all my loved ones back in Texas.

I got to the college within 20 minutes, walked to the office and turned in my paperwork.

My classes started in a few months when it's fall season it's still spring so I had time to settle in.

On my way home I stopped at a Starbucks and grabbed a caramel frapp with ex. Caramel and ex. Whip Cream. I sat down and took out one of my all time favorite books, the hunger games and started reading.

I kept feeling eyes locked on me and was getting a little uncomfortable so I looked up from the little table I was sitting at and that's when I saw those beautiful bright blue eyes.
