Ash's POV

I'm awoken by the sound of metal clashing together bouncing off the concrete walls of the room. In panic, worry, and just a natural reaction, I attempt to move my arms but am unable to. Seeing as though that's where the sound is coming from.

My head continues to pound, causing me to wince at the pain. Over and over again. Each time getting even worse. My arms barely allowing me to use them as my blood flow is unable to reach them from above my head as they are chained together and hung. Still letting my feet have contact with the ground beneath me.

I'm unable to think with the throbbing of my head killing me from the inside out. Memories from the other day flooding back.

The room was nothing but cold heartless dark shadows lurking around. Yet empty without a soul in sight.

No sign of sunlight and no sign of telling time itself.

Examining the chains from above I could probably unhook them if I had more energy and strength in me at the moment. But right now I'm feeling something I haven't felt in many years. Powerless.

I refuse to admit I've given up.

If I get my abs to push my legs above to turn myself over vertically the opposite way and pull myself up I can get out of these restraints.

With every try of just try to get my legs above my waist made the pain worsen even more.

Anger creeps to my body and I gather as much willpower as I can to make this work. I take a couple steps back and get some speed to get the momentum and use the wall beside me to my advantage and the chain as well to allow my legs to swing higher. My legs make it to the chain above, but start to slip from the lack of core strength from the other night.

I can feel my ribs shifting the more I try to access my strength. My idea backfires and my legs swing back down to the ground banging my head on the wall in the process. My body feeling as if it's breaking in half with any sort of movement.

Biting down my lip I refuse to let out a sound and cause attention to anyone that might be able to hear me. Although the pain of my broken ribs at this point made me grind my teeth together on the verge of screaming.

The temperature of the room didn't help at all. I can see my own cold breath as I'm gasping for air after my attempts of escaping.

I need to rest. I think to myself. When I have the chance to escape I'll have enough energy to get my revenge on that traitor and Dash.

I knew he couldn't be trusted. He was probably was apart of this whole thing. Like father like son.

The sound over a gun being reloaded grabs my attention from slumber, not that I was getting much sleep anyways. I felt like a horse being to sleep standing up. I'm being treated as if I'm an animal.

"Sleep well dear?" Dash's father-Richard- asks mockingly snapping in the ammo and purposely and carelessly swing the weapon in my direction.

Nothing is said.

"Just not going to say anything?" He asks another question once he slams the gun on the table and makes his way over to me.

Silence still fills the air. My pride is all I have left to this man.

"Now I'm going to ask you again.." Richard said through his gritted yellow stained teeth that must've been drowning in alcohol for countless years. "How did you sleep, daughter?"

Without thinking after that rude, messed up, and creepy word. My foot pushes off the wall and allows me to kick him right in the gut with even more force.
