Surprise Attack

Nicole's ears were ringing from the explosion.

Tony ran over and helped her to her feet.

"Are you okay?"
He asked.

"Yeah."

Everyone in the room recovering.

Loki was making sure that Iris was alright, Bruce was making sure that he didn't Hulk out, and Peter was helping Skyler up.

"Time to suit up people."
Tony announced.

Loki and Iris raced out of the lab, they were followed by Nicole.

Skyler and Peter ran out but when another way.

Tony turned to Bruce.

"Remember-"

"I know Tony. Only if it's a Code Green."
Bruce replied finally standing up.

"Great. Let's go."

Alexia ran to Conner's room.

At least four explosions had hit the building.

Everyone was running and getting ready to face whatever came inside.

When she got there Conner was in the hall with Del.

"What's going on?"
Conner asked.

"He's here."
Alexia replied breathlessly.

Del exchanged a nervous glance with Conner.

"Come on. Let's get you guy's somewhere safe."
Alexia said.

"Are you kidding? I'm not gonna run and hide while this guy is here."
Del crossed her arms.

"Yeah. We can still fight."
Conner led them down the hall.

"We just need to grab some weapons."

Alexia sighed and followed.

This is not going to end well.

"We've got company."
Lyra informed Jane.

The two watched as dozens of masked soldiers poured through an opening in the wall.

Jane threw an iced spike at one of them, it hit him in the chest and he fell.

Lyra grabbed a gun and turned invisible.

She began shooting at the soldiers, who couldn't see or do anything to stop her.

Jane continued to launch ice at them.

She wouldn't let a single one get past her.

While she was busy fighting, she didn't notice a gun that was aimed at her back.

There was a loud bang and Jane fell, slipping into unconciousness.

"Cam!"
Isabelle shouted.

"I'm a little busy right now!"

Cam took down another soldier with a hard blow to the head and spun around and faced another.

He had given himself strength and was proving to be unstoppable.

"Cam!"
Isabelle shouted again.

"What?!"

"They're getting inside!"

Cam spun around and watched in dismay as the soldiers began running into the building.

"Can you two hold them off?"
Cam asked.

Clint fired an arrow that exploded after hitting one of the soldiers.

"We got this! Go!"

Cam ran inside the building, taking out as many soldiers as he could.

So far we haven't seen ShadeSlayer yet.

Cam thought as he continued fighting.

But it's only a matter of time before he shows up.

Little did he know that he already did.

"The Avengers are under attack."
Charles announced suddenly.

Elizabeth looked at him in horror.

"What?"

"You need to go there now."

Elizabeth nodded and raced out of the room with Annette following close behind.

"Why is it whenever there's trouble with the Avengers we're never there?"
Annette asked.

"Good question."
Elizabeth replied.

As they were about to exit the school they ran into Storm and Logan.

"What's the hurry?"
Logan asked.

"The Avengers are being attacked."
Elizabeth explained.

Storm glanced at Logan.

"We'll go with you."

The four made their way to the hangar and quickly got into a car.

Logan was in the driver's seat.

"Hold on."

He drove the car as fast as it could go.

Elizabeth exchanged a nervous glance with Annette.
