We Need A Plan (Like Really Bad)

"So any bright ideas on how we're going to catch this guy?"
Isabelle asked.

"At the moment, no. We don't."
Fury said.

"That's comforting."
Lyra rolled her eyes.

"So we have a crazy masked lunatic running around, who has super speed and can use the Force, and is possibly planning on stealing the rest of our powers and killing us all."
Nicole crossed her arms.

"What happens if he gets ahold of Bruce's powers?"
Jane asked.
"A super fast and Force wielding Hulk is not something I want to deal with."

"No one does Jane."
Steve looked over at her.
"Which is why we're doing everything we can to find him."

"Elizabeth and Annette are asking Xavier to help find him. Anthony has given us all the information he could on him.
And Tony is working on trying to figure out how his gun and suit works."
Maria informed them.

"In the meantime we all need to be ready for this guy to show
up."

Everyone in the room nodded in agreement.

Then they went off to do.... Something.

Sitting around and waiting for the guy to show up was not fun.

"What exactly are you trying to find out Sky?"
Alexia asked as she gazed around at all the holograms that surrounded them.

She didn't get an answer cause Skyler had her music on was completely blocking her out.

"Sky? Sky!"

Alexia groaned as Skyler continued to ignore her.

"What's going on in here guys?"
Tony walked in with Nicole.

"I honestly have no idea."
Alexia sighed.
"She dragged me in her, turned up her music, and started this."

Skyler was oblivious to the newcomers and continued her work.

Tony looked at all the holgrams.

"Oh I see. She's trying to get a headstart."

"Huh?"
Alexia asked.

"Tony was asked to try and figure out how ShadeSlayer's weapons work."
Nicole explained.

"And I happen to already be this close to figuring it out."
Skyler announced suddenly.

"Wait, you heard all that?"
Alexia asked in disbelief.

"Yup."

"Then why- Never mind."

"What'd you find Sky?"
Tony asked.

"Well, not much. Without the actual weapon here it's almost impossible to analyze it."

"But you said that you were this close to figuring it out."

"I said is was almost impossible. Although I haven't been working on how the gun works I've been trying to figure out the effect it has on different people."

"Like?"
Alexia asked.

Skyler took off her headphones.
Her face had become stern and she looked slightly troubled.

"If someone with superpowers is hit, it drains their powers and transfers them to whoever shot the gun. It uses more energy depending on how powerful the person it hits is."

"If someone is shot and they don't have powers, the energy from the gun can kill them."

Alexia widened her eyes.
There were so many people in the building who didn't have powers!

If ShadeSlayer showed up and started firing at everyone....

Tony crossed his arms.

"Well that's not good."

"Yeah, and if someone who had their powers taken is shot again they'll die too."
Skyler added grimly.

"Wait, they wouldn't just get them back?"
Nicole asked.

"As far as I know ShadeSlayer controls whether or not the gun takes the powers, or sends them back. We'd have to get the gun from him, and then maybe... Just maybe we could get Conner and Del's powers back to them."

"You found all that out how?"
Alexia asked.

"I talked to Anthony, and Conner and Del. Then I took the footage of the incident from the tower and cut out an image of the gun and analyzed it."

"You got all that info from a picture?"
Nicole's eyes widened.

"Well it's not solid info yet. It's mostly untested theories. But I have a feeling that I'm right."

"Well why don't you two go see if anyone needs help with anything? Sky and I will keep figuring out what we can about this guy."

"Alright."
Nicole and Alexia left them to their work.

"What of Sky's right? And that guy tries to use his gun on someone without powers and it kills them?"
Alexia asked.

"Then we have to make sure that doesn't happen."

Nicole wouldn't let that guy hurt anyone else.
