2. Broken Bones [Cody]

Cody ran through the forest as his brother Kade was chasing him teasingly. Cody was running swiftly through the forest while Kade was dragging behind. Cody looked behind himself in victory, until he trips on a root sticking out of the ground.

"Oww!!" Cody yelled as he fell to the ground clutching his right ankle.

"I'm going to get you Cody!! You better run!!" Cody gulped as he tried to get up.

Cody's ankle burned in pain and had to used a tree to help himself up and balance. Cody started limping in pain through the forest until he saw the Mobile Headquarters. Cody ignored the burning pain in his ankle as he saw the bots and the rest of his family. 

"Hey Cody" Heatwave greeted as Cody came out of the trees.

"Hi Heatwave" Cody replied to the greeting but saw as his family and the rest of bots going out of the forest, "Where are they going?"

"Oh, I think it has something to do with making sure that Mount Griffin doesn't have rock slides" Heatwave replied to Cody's question.

"Well the good thing is Kade can't chase me now" Cody said jokingly.

"Just wait until i'm done" Kade said walking out of the forest and up to Cody and punching his arm playfully.

Surprised by Kade when he punched him Cody staggered back. Cody stepped on his right ankle, his right foot failed, and fell to the ground on his back.

"Oww..." Cody groaned as his ankle burned with pain.

"Cody are you ok?" Heatwave said concerned and looked at Kade in anger, "Kade! Why did you punch him" Heatwave now had anger and annoyance in his voice.

"What?!?! I didn't punch him that hard" Kade said to Heatwave confused.

Heatwave looked back at Cody and saw he made no attempt to get up. Cody had fear and pain on his face.

"Are you ok Cody?" Heatwave said as he moved towards Cody.

Heatwave thought he saw a look of surprise on Cody's face for a second. Cody put on a fake smile.

"I'm fine Heatwave" Cody tried to grin  and get up but let out a hurt yelp as he put weight on his right foot.

Heatwave shot his hand out and grabbed Cody before he could fall again. Cody had so much pain on his face.

"What did you do Cody?" Heatwave said sternly as he put Cody back on the ground.

"Yea, what did you do to your ankle?" Kade interrupted before Cody could speak.

"While Kade was chasing me I tripped and hurt my ankle" Cody said looking at Kade.

"Why am I not surprised that Kade ruined everything" Heatwave said as he glared at Kade. 

"Oh, so I ruin everything" Kade said in a mocking voice.

"STOP FIGHTING! Please... My ankle hurts"  Cody said in pain.

"Fine I will take you to the hospital" Kade said and Heatwave transformed into his fire truck mode.

At the Hospital...

"I am glad you brought him" Said the doctor. She had short brown hair, midnight blue eyes, and was 18, "He broke one of his foot bones in his right foot"

"How did you do that!?!?" Kade asked loudly.

"I tripped on a root..." Cody started to say.

"A Root Are You Serious! How Did It Do That?!" Kade interrupted, "Well no changing the past, thank you doctor... Wait what's your name?" Kade asked the young doctor.

"Oh i'm Flare Night Arrow" Flare said.

After all that hospital stuff... And at home...

Everyone was giving Cody more attention then he had in a long time. Cody was happy that his ankle broke, he could spend more time with family.
