It took over a minute before anyone said a word. Nakahilig pa rin ang ulo ni Sarah sa dibdib ni Gerald. Not moving at all.
"T-this is n-not the best proposal I-I have in mind, but love, I just could not wait to ask you. I-I know everything seems so fast but p-please, spend the rest of your life with me, Sarah."
"Love please sumagot ka na, mamatay na ako dito. Hindi ako makahinga." Dagdag ni Gerald nang wala pa ring matanggap na sagot mula kay Sarah
Then he heard a chuckle which later turned into a sob... Once... Twice...
"Hey... Hey, wag ka umiyak please... Love, please... I will respect your deci--" pagtahan ni Gerald.
Sarah slowly look at Gerald's face then she sat up straight.
"Bakit mo ko pakakasalan?"

Sarah's POV
"Marry me."
Dug dug. Dug dug. Dug dug.
Ano daw? Para akong nabibingi. Ano ulit yun? Anong sinabi niya?

P-proposal? In-inaalok niya ako ng kasal. Kasal. Kasal. I have always wanted to get married, to be married. To be a wife. To have my own family. P-proposal? And from Ge. I should be very happy right now diba? I will finally have my own family with Gerald.Pero bakit parang hati yung nararamdaman ko? I feel... I feel uncertain... and scared...

B-bakit niya ako inalok? Natawa ako sa excitement pero naisip ko , i-is it because I'm carrying his child? Dahil ba dun? Pano kung hindi pa naman talaga siya ready? Knowing him, it must be difficult for him to give up his bachelor life... Oh God... My tears.... Shut up Asher!

I stared at his face, seeing it that pale I wanted to kiss him pero bakit, bakit ako kinakabahan. Feeling ko mahuhulog ako kaya naman umupo na lang ako at sumandal sa headboard.
"Bakit mo ko pakakasalan?" And then there I said it.
Gerald stared at me as if I just told a joke.
"What kind of question is that?" He chuckled.
"Don't even try to laugh. Just answer me." I said sternly.
"Kasi mahal kita. Could there be any other reason why, babe?"
"Is it because I'm pregnant? Y-you don't have to. W-we don't have to, Ge if you're not ready yet hindi naman natin kailangan gawin yun, just be there for me and the baby o-okay na ko d--"
Then Gerald started to talk...
"One of the few moments I shared with my dad that I love most is whenever we talk about life, I was so young back then that I didn't take anything seriously but looking back, everything he says just touched my whole life. When Dad and Mom decided to part ways, I was so devastated thinking how unfair the world is, gusto ko lang naman ng buong pamilya eh pero ang hirap hirap naman palang makamtan nun." Tears silently fell on his face.
