One Rainy Night....

Chapter One

Annabel's POV
(Phone)

"Okay okay Scarlett I'm on my way can you please calm down"
"No I can't it's pouring and accidents are possible plus I'm all alone here and I'm frightened come quickly"
"I will if you stop calling me every 5 minutes okay"
"Okay just hurry u--"
"Oh my God"
"What's wrong?"
"Scarlett I .... I'll call you later
"But....."
(Hanged up)

Carp I think I hit him "are you okay?"
I said getting off the car
"Don't call 911 .... let me die" he said and blanked out
"What?" I didn't understand what did he mean till I saw a cut near his wrist oh my God he was trying to kill himself .
Of course I didn't listen to him and I called 911 he was put in the intense care and I wasn't allowed in because I'm not one of his family

(Phone ringing)
"Hello Scarlett"
"Where the heck are you?"
"Um ..... The hospital"
"What? Why ? Are you okay?"
"Yes yes I'm okay"
"Scarlett I have to go I'll call you later and explain everything bye"
(Hung up)

"Miss Brandon"the doctor called
"Yes"
"You have to sign here um this is your agreement to put the patient in a room"
"Why do you need my agreement?"
"You brought him so you're responsible for him"
"I see ... Okay where do I sign"
"Here please"he pointed somewhere on the clipboard he was holding and I signed it
"Doctor how is he?"
"He was so lucky the cut wasn't deep enough to cause death"
"But he blanked out"
"His body is weak maybe he was walking under the rain for so long before you found him"
"Yeah .... Um which room is he?"
"372"
"Thank you"

I went in. He didn't wake up yet I started at him for a good five minutes I was wondering what is so terrible in his life to give it up and like that I found my self crying at the thought of someone trying to kill himself.

(Calling Scarlett)
"Annabel are you alright?"
"Yeah I am"
"Why .... Why are you crying?"
"When I hanged up suddenly I thought that I hit someone but when I got out of the car he fainted I didn't hit him he was trying to commit suicide and I took him to the hospital"
"Oh do you need me to come?"
"No no it's fine I'll stay here for a while and then I'll come"
"Okay take care"
"You too bye"
"Bye"

Lukas' POV

The last thing I remember before waking up in a hospital room is a girl asking me if I was okay. I looked around me at the room to find the same girl starting back at me with her eyes red
"Hey" she said
"Hi ...... Um what am I doing here?"
"You fainted and I brought you here"she said
"Welcome back by the way"she continued
"Thank you but I prefer if you let me die there"
"If you were me would you let someone die"
"No I don't think so"
"By the way I'm Annabel"
"Lukas"
"Nice to meet you Lukas"
"Why were you crying? "
"How did you know?"
"Your eyes are red"
"Oh .... well it must be something horrible that made you wanna give up life"
"You were crying because of that?!"
"Yeah why are you so surprised?"
"Cuz no one actually cares"
"There is at least one person who really does care"
"Yeah Ethan my best friend but I didn't see him in years"
"Why's that?"
"He lives in another state"
"Oh I'm sorry"
I just looked at her I don't know if this is caring or just pity I think it's pity it's never been caring
"Okay Lukas I have to go but I will visit tomorrow I promise"
"You don't have to"
"But I want to"she said smiling and waved goodbye
