I sang my last note gracefully as my partner Jungkook grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. The last note on the piano lingered and echoed throughout the mostly empty auditorium.

"Brilliant!" The show coordinator Mr.Henry clapped furiously as he got up from his seat and turned around to face the other acts in the rows behind him. "That's it for talent show rehearsal! Don't forget we have one last dress tomorrow at 6pm!" He yelled.

Jungkook and I turned our mics off and handed them to the stage techs. "Great job," Jungkook said as he pat my arm. "I'll see you tomorrow," He shot me a smile and walked off stage.

I saw my boyfriend all the way in the back , crossing his arms. I got off the stage and went to my put coat on. "Hey Jimin, you ready to go?" I asked.

He was eyeing my duet partner and I waved my hand on front of his face. "So you ask me to watch your rehearsal so I can get jealous?" He asked.

"What are you talking about?"

"He was all over you! And did you see the way he was looking at you?! And why did he touch your arm?!"

I giggled. "Jimin, part of singing a duet is to express the feelings in the song with your partner," I said.

"Hmph, I didn't like in,"

"What? You didn't like the song?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"What? No! You were so wonderful!" He pinched my cheeks and I scrunched my face.

"Can we just go now?"

He laughed and put his arm around me as we walked out to his car. "Fine,"

On our way back to my house, he brought up my partner again. "But why are you singing with Jungkook? Why aren't you singing with me?" He pouted.

"Jimin, we've been over this before. The choir director thinks our voices mesh well together and suggested it. And what are you complaining for?! You didn't want to be in the talent show anyway," I said.

"That was before I knew you would be singing with another guy! I feel so betrayed,"

I rolled my eyes. "Oh boo hoo, it's too late to change now. The show is in two days,"

"Hmm, we'll see about that," I didn't really hear what he said, but I just dismissed it.

Jimin said he was busy so he couldn't come watch our dress rehearsal, which was fine, so I just drove myself to it. The day of the show, though, it was almost time for the show to start and Jimin was no where to be seen. Jungkook and I were last, so he could still make it. But more importantly, Jungkook was missing too! Mr.Henry wanted all of us to be here before the show started and I couldn't find him. I took my phone out and tried to call him, but I was getting his voice mail. I texted him and with ten minutes going by, no reply.

"(Y/n)! Where is Jungkook?!" Mr.Henry asked me.

"Uh, he's running a little late, I'm sure he'll be here soon," I said.

"He better!" He walked away to check in with the other acts.

"Come on Jungkook, don't bail on me please," I prayed.

As the show was going on, there was still no sign of Jungkook and it was almost our turn! "Oh, what am I gonna do?" I panicked.

"Next up is Jungkook and (y/n) singing Some by Junggigo and Soyou!" My blood turned cold and I tried to run away.

"Get out there! You have to close the show, your name is already on the program!" Mr.Henry ushered me out onto the stage into the bright light.

The audience clapped, but I could hear murmurs wondering where Jungkook was. I scanned the faces before me and before I knew it. The intro played and my eyes widened. I was gonna have to sing his part. I quickly brought the mic to my lips, but the voice I heard wasn't mine, nor Jungkook's. I looked all around to see where it was coming from. When it was my turn to sing, I delivered beautifully, still confused by the mystery voice.

When the chorus was near, a handsome devil walked out onto the stage with his fiery orange hair. My Jimin. My eyes lit up and I smiled as he walked towards me. He grabbed my hand and, since we didn't practice, tried stepping rhythmically together. At the end of the song, he pulled me close and ended the song with a kiss on my nose. The crowd went wild. I don't even think they cared that it wasn't Jungkook. We both went back stage while the announcer told everyone how to vote for best act.

"Jimin, what are you doing here?!" I asked, smacking his shoulder.

"Ow, I'm sorry! Jungkook couldn't make it! He was uh...busy,"

"I thought you were busy!" I punched his arm and he winced.

"Why are you so abusive?"

"Neither you nor Jungkook were answering my calls and texts!"

Jimin narrowed his eyes at me. "Why were you calling him?"

"He's my partner! Besides, what did you do to him?" I asked, crossing my arms.

He laughed nervously. "What do you mean what did I do to him?"

"He wouldn't just not show up without giving me a heads up,"

He sighed. "Fine, ya got me. I may or may not have intentionally given him food poisoning,"

"Jimin! You could've killed him!"

"But I didn't!" He said matter of factly.

I sighed. "Were you really that jealous?"

He just shrugged. "Okay ladies and gentlemen, the polls are in. The winners of the talent show are, (Y/n) and Jungkook! I mean Jimin!" I gasped and Jimin dragged me back out on stage, grabbing the trophy.

"Congratulations!"

Jimin smiled triumphantly while holding the gold plated piece up. Suddenly, Jungkook busted through the auditorium doors.

"That should be my trophy!" He yelled.

"Actually, I'm sure you wouldn't have won if you sang," Jimin said.

Jungkook started bolting towards Jimin.

"Uh oh, run!" Jimin grabbed my hand and ran off the stage.

Best night ever.
