For phanthing1. Sorry I couldn't go to your birthday party.

"Someone! Please help! I'm hungry and I can't get up!" Jacob laughs as he enters our room. "Babe, I think you're misusing your powers." I smile. "Did you bring food?" He grins and pulls out a huge bowl of animal crackers from behind his back. "Whoo! I love you so much!" He laughs. "You only love me when I have food." He sets the bowl on my 9 month belly. "That's not true! I love you because you're you! The food is just a bonus." He sits next to me and rubs my belly. "You're so beautiful, Chris." "Why are you suddenly bringing this up? I mean, I don't mind. In fact, keep talking." He laughs. "I just thought you should know that no matter what you look like, I find you beautiful." My face heats up. He kisses my burning cheek. "After all this time, I can still make you blush?" I smack his arm and stuff animal crackers into my mouth. He smiles and smothers me with kisses, causing me to laugh. "Stop it! That tickles!" He places a final kiss on my lips. "We'll be parents any day now, huh?" I gasp. "Oh yeah! I completely forgot! We need to think of names!" Brandon bursts through the door. "Baby names?! I wanna help!!" Evan pops up from behind the couch. "Me too!" I love my family. They're perfect and I wouldn't trade it for the-- "OW!" Jacob turns towards me. "Are you alright?" I shake my head. "It...h-hurts...OW!" Sandy rushes in and gasps. "Is it time?" "I-I don't know! It really hurts! HNG! I feel like I'm going to explode! AA-AGH!" Sandy nods. "Jacob, Brandon. Get Chris to the car. It's time." Jacob looks at me, fear in his eyes. Evan looks up at me. "It's time? For what?" Brandon kneels next to him. "Their baby is coming." Evan grins. "Let's go!" "I can't do this...I can't do this!! I'm not strong enough! Jacob, I can't!" He stands in front of me, taking my face into his hands. "Look at me, baby. Look at me." I look into his eyes. "Listen. Listen to me alright?" I nod and grip onto his hands. "Chris, I'm scared too. I'm scared and I don't know what to do. But I will be your rock, if you'll be mine." My eyes water. "But...I'm so weak. I could never do something like that!" He rests his forehead against mine. "I need you to trust me on this. You will be fine. We'll go in and we'll leave with our beautiful baby. Alright?" I give him a shaky nod. "Okay. Now let's go." We hurriedly walk to the car. The pains are getting worse and are happening more often. We get into the car and Jacob kneels in front of me. "Jacob, please!" He grabs my hand. "Squeeze as hard as you want. I won't complain. Take out your pain on me." I want to tell him I didn't want to hurt him, but another pain courses through me and I squeeze his hand hard. "AGHHHH! I can't! I'm not strong like you, Jacob! Please! Make it stop!" He cups my cheek. "You can do this, baby. You got this. I believe in you." My eyes widen and begin to water. "You...You believe in me? R-really?" He smiles his beautiful smile and the pain seems to get less intense, just staring into his eyes. "I believe in you, baby. You can do this. Just look at me. Listen to my voice and block out everything else. Okay?" "O-okay. I'll t-try." He sets a hand on my belly and rubs small circles. "Copy my breathing, okay?" I nod and give him a small smile. "W-when this is over a-and everything is back to normal, c-can we get married?" He smiles and kisses my forehead. "I'd be glad to." The car stops. "Come on. Let's go." I nod, but as soon as I get out of the car, the pain rushes back. "AGHH!!" Brandon rushes over. "Chris! Evan, go inside with Sandy and get a doctor!" Evan looks terrified, so I give him my best smile. "I'm okay, Evan. The baby is just excited to meet you." He grins and runs inside. Sandy sets her hand on my shoulder. "Just hang in there, dear. It'll all be over soon." She walks inside and returns with a doctor and a stretcher. Brandon and Jacob help me onto it. The doctor smiles at me. "Hello. I'm Levi. You're going to be just fine. You're in good hands." I reach for Jacob. "C-can he be in there with me? I can't do this without him." Levi smiles. "Of course." Brandon and Evan follow Sandy into the waiting room. Jacob has my hand the entire way to the room.

I open my eyes. My vision is blurry and my eyes feel heavy. My baby belly is gone. Did I dream that whole thing? "Chris? You okay? There's someone who wants to meet you." I look around and see Jacob, Brandon, Evan, Sandy and Levi all standing around me. "S-someone wants to...meet me?" Jacob hands me a bundled up blanket. "Huh?" He smiles with tears in his eyes. "Meet our new daughter." I look down and see a beautiful baby girl staring at me with wide blue-green eyes. What little hair she has is a mixture of Jacob's hair and my own. "She's beautiful! Did...Did we really make her?" Jacob laughs. "Of course. She's just as beautiful as you are." I smile at her and she smiles back, giggling. "Have...have you named her, yet?" Jacob shakes his head. "I would never make an important decision without you. We all picked a name we like, you can pick out of ours. Okay?" I nod and give our baby my finger to play with. "Brandon suggested Brandy. Evan wanted Evangeline. Grandma wants Sage, since it reminds her of Great Grandma. I was thinking Jade." I smile and laugh at Brandon and Evan's names. Sandy's made me want to cry. Jacob's is nice, but Jade is the name of my mother and she hated me. "I think we should name her Sage. Is that okay, Jacob?" Sandy has tears in her eyes. Jacob smiles. "I never knew Great Grandma, but I think she would've been happy to hear that." Sandy smiles widely and takes something, most likely a ring, off her finger. "I want you to have this. I want you to remember me, and I want her to at least know about me. I know I won't be here for much longer." I wipe my eyes with one hand. "Don't say stuff like that!" Sandy laughs and hands the ring to Jacob. Sage starts to cry. "What's wrong, sweetie? Don't cry!" Sandy smiles. "She's hungry. You two should probably get a wet nurse." I clutch Sage to my chest. "No way! My baby!! Sage is going to get attached, then she's going to want the wet nurse over me! Then the nurse is going to steal Jacob from me! There's no way in hell I'm letting anyone near our baby!!" Jacob sets his hand on my shoulder. "What? Babe, you still think that I'll leave you for someone better?" I nod and look down at Sage. "Newsflash, there's nothing better than my adorkable nerd. If anything I should be worried about you leaving me. I'm not exactly the nicest guy out there, and I know I'm not as good a boyfriend that I should be. I know I'm not perfect, but I'm perfect for you, understand?" I nod, tears forming in my eyes. "I-I love you, Jacob." He smiles and leans forward, kissing my cheek. "I love you too, Chris." Sage smiles and giggles. "We love you too Sage, don't worry."
