Chapter 1

Hiccup's POV

"OK guys, bring it a bit forward...back a bit, perfect!" I instructed, watching Astrid, Snotlout and Fishlegs to drop the rocks where the new  watch tower will go because yesterday, me and Astrid were just sitting on a beach when all of a sudden BANG! the twins blew up our watch tower in the south so it was completely unguarded from the South all of last night. Ugh, what else oh yeah my dad is coming to see if we are doing alright (he is the chief of Berk just so you know.) But, Veego is back and guess who he wants to play Maces and Talons with...me. 

"So that's all done, now where are the twins?" I asked, scraching my head as I tried to look for the them. 

"Well all we need to do is look for a fire or a disaster then there they are. Come on bud let's check somewhere else." I pull him back and turn round. "Ahhhhhhhhhh!" I scream as I crash into them. "Toothless!" 

As we land, I rush over to toothless to see if he is alright. Thankfully, he fell into some shrubbery. I look round at the twins, "Well we have to go," Tuff said turning around with Ruff. "Toothless," I said leaning back on him as he shot a plazma blast at Tuff and Ruff. 

"Hey, your dragon just shot at us!" Ruff said, annoyed.

"Yes, I told him to" I said patting him.

"Not cool T, not cool," Tuff said pointing at Toothless with a frown. I walked over to them my arms folded looking at my metal leg.

"Look, guys..." I said "you need to be more careful with Barf and Belch because if you are pratting about like you were today and yesterday, you are going to get hurt or someone else will get hurt." They both looked at each other, sadness in their eyes. They looked at me then at the floor. Suddenly, Ruff went to say something to me, but nothing came out. They mounted Barf and Belch and flew off. I sighed and flew off with Toothless thinking about what happened. I lay down on Toothless's back "Don't worry bud, nothing will happen to you." 

Suddenly, an arrow pierced into Toothless's skin. I looked at the arrow and realised it was a dragon hunter arrow. I bent over, trying to pull out the arrow while falling out of the sky. "Astrid!" I shout seeing her race towards me, dodging arrows, trying to get to me as fast as she could. 

Stormfly shot her spines at the dragon hunters and grabbed Toothless. Suddenly, my metal leg came loose and I fell out of the saddle 

"Hiccup!" I heard, Astrid looking back at me trying to get to me whilst dodging the arrows coming from the ship. I saw her retreat back to base. I hit the the water below me, trying to hold my breath. The next thing I remember is a large net diving into the sea and pulling me out. I saw Dagger then I fainted...
