Fabbienne’s POV

Pang-apat na araw na namin dito sa Elite University. So far so good naman. May konti ah este maraming away na kaming nasangkutan at ang master mind ay si Nathalie. Ngayon umattend kami ng class, sa ikalawa at ikatlong araw kasi ay tambay lang kami sa campus.

I fish my phone out of my purse nung tumunog ito. Another text message from my flavor of the day.

“babe? Where are you”

He’s  Jason , football team captain of this school, at ngayon atat na atat na makipag kita sa akin. Kanina lang nga kami nagkakilala nagtext na agad, boys boys so easy to get. I just don’t get it,gwapo naman sila at maraming babae ang naghahabol sa kanina. But they chose to be with me, ganun na ba talaga ako ganda para kabaliwan. Oh.. Thank God for this beauty at the same time, I’m really sorry. It’s just that… hindi ko kayang hindi saktan ang mga lalaki. They deserve every heartaches kasi ganun din naman ang ginagawa nila sa amin.

Nagulat ako nung biglang mag vibrate ang phone ko.

Calling Adobo..

Adobo  kasi ang pangalan nya sa phone ko. Parang putahe lang kasi sila sa isang menu. Pagnagsawa ako, titikman ko naman ang iba pang naka pila.

I cancelled the call and texted him.

To adobo: We’re having a class see you later. xoxo

I send the message at nakatunganga na naman ako sa Prof. namin na naglelecture. Feel ko talaga na nasa lamay kami ngayon, boring eh. Big time. Si Felly nga hindi nakikinig, umaagos na ang luha at uhog nya kakabasa ng libro.  

“ Ok class what are the economic characteristics of tourism industry. ” Nakatayo padin sa gitna si  Professor Enriquez habang naghahanap ng estudyanteng makaksagot sa tanong nya. And seriously, isa lang ang tumaas ng kamay.

“Yes miss Jeysa?” He said enthusiastically, augh! Another Professor’s Favorite. She’s the rank one in our batch. Vice President of the School Organization yun lang ang alam ko sa kanila. At bakit ko alam? Aba syempre naniniwala kami sa “ Know your enemy first “. Member kasi sya ng Rigels ang pa-astig at pasosyal na grupo and currently holding the Royal Crown. Tumayo sya with full of confidence she even flip her messy hair. Gross I know.  

“Increases government revenues .” Jeysa said boastfully, while our other classmates seem to be impressed with her answers.

Disappointed, Professor Enriquez said “Ano ang nangyari Miss Jeysa? Hindi kana ba nag-aaral ng notes mo? That is one of the major elements of tourism  planning.”  

Napaupo ng di sa oras si Jeysa, na shock ang lahat kasi ni minsan hindi pa sya nagkakamali siguro dahil natinag sa bookworm na iyak ng iyak sa tabi ko. Felly Therese has been featured on a magazine, I won’t elaborate the details basta yun. Wizard ng chess yan ee and matalino talaga. Sino kaya sa inyo ang makakasulo ng isang buong volume ng dictionary within a month? Ang babaeng isang lecture lang kuha agad! Partida, nagbabasa pa yan ng novels hah. At sino ang makakagawa ng apat na  pagkahabahabang essay with different ideas on the same topic? SIYA NA TALAGA!  Pity on Jeysa, ito na ang ikakalaglag nya for sure.

Napatingin ako sa katabi ko kanina pa pasinghot-singhot.

“Huhu!! Grabe naman itong si Tamara! Saktan ba ng ganun si Aijooo, huhuh.” She’s unbelievable, akalain nyong nag lelecture si Professor Enriquez eh iba parin ang binabasa nya? Sinong mag-aakala na sya ang pinakamatalino sa aming apat?

I nudge her “ Hoy! Sipon mo uod oh, wala kang panyo? Ano ba yang binabasa mo? ”

Crying she said. “ Yung Story ni Tamara at Aijoo, di mo nabasa yun? “ Umiling lang ako , wala naman akong idea jan kasi hindi ako mahilig magbasa.

Yawning, she raised her hands.

“Yes Miss Felly will you give some examples of the economic characteristics of tourism industry?”

Shocked, she stand up immediately. Kaya naman hinawakan ko ang kamay nya and murmured. 

“Wag ka muna tumayo punasan mo luha mo at sipon yuck kadiri ka. “ Inabutan ko sya ng panyo and in a flash she wiped her tears. Then again she looks at Professor Enriquez quizzically as if telling him Ha-ano-po-ulit-yun. Napailing si Prof. While others even make face.

“Wala yang isasagot maam! Kita mo ohh,, iiyak nayan.”  Geline shouted. I heard she’s bitchy too , the leader of Rigels. I tsk-ed and looked at her from head to toe. As if naman uubra sya kay Nathalie.

Speaking of Nathalie There she goes our Heroine, tumayo sya at look at Geline furiously.

“Hoy babaeng mukhang paa! Wag kang umepal, porket hindi nasagot ng bobang mong kaibigan ang tanong eh hindi narin masasagot ni Felly ang tanong “

Geline was taken aback. She even flushed . Our classmates rejoices as if naman merong debate sa class. Like a choir they shouted “ Burn! “ at doon napaupo sa galit si Geline.   

“ Actually there are 6 economic characteristics of tourism planning  but I’ll just give 2 examples Prof.  Number one is ‘tourism an invisible export industry’ then ‘tourism is a perishable product’ “ Felly simply answered then umupo na sya .

“Very well said Miss Felly, it looks like we will have the biggest intellectual competition here, Miss Jeysa you must double your time, hindi basta basta si Miss Felly right Deities?”

Nobody answered so Professor Enriquez chooses to continue her lesson.
