Chapter 2 – Nightmares do come true...

Because I actually don't have a house and I just live in one of the rooms at the resort so when I went on my holiday break I just stayed in a different resort which, in a way, was kind of like research. The resort I stayed in was on the other side of town and was a five-star resort, ours only being four-star I wanted to see what they had that we didn't. It turns out they have a lot of activities for kids and we don't have that, I guess its because me nor Taylor have kids or anything so we didn't really think of them. Well we need to invest in a playground and water slides if we want a child friendly resort.

Well today is Tuesday so I got to go back to work, I know lots of people will think I'm weird for saying this, but I really missed work. I love my job of serving people and making them happy and plus I'm doing what my mum wanted me to do which makes me feel happy altogether. I came back to the resort at 10am, by the looks of it breakfast was over as everybody was either at the pool or at the beach. I walked into the lobby where I saw a very happy Taylor standing at the check-in desk with Daniel, looking through some papers.

“I'm back!” Taylor and Daniel turned around with a smile, Daniels strangely wide.

“Hey Layla,” Taylor walked over and gave me a hug before handing me the papers she was looking through “This is our new lifeguard.”

I flicked through the papers which showed the interview question and his answers, not bad. I looked at his profile, a picture of a young man with a very attractive smile that I kind of recognised, was on the page. I looked over at the details age twenty-one, qualified to be lifeguard, so far he seemed perfect until I looked at his name...Hunter Stevens! I dropped the papers, which were thankfully stapled together and stormed over to Taylor.

"You hired Hunter Stevens! HUNTER STEVENS!" I looked at him again, he really hadn't changed looks ways, his dirty blonde hair was sticking up in every direction, he still had the perfect shape and his tanned skin glowed in the sun.

"What's the big deal Layla?"

"Taylor...he used to bully me!” It was true, he used to go to the same secondary school as me and Taylor and he used to call me horrible names for having no friends. Taylor was always busy at lunchtime clubs to hang out with me at lunch times, so I used to just sit on my own reading a book and that is why I got bullied. When I left school I was so excited that I would never have to see him, his best friend (Tag) and his bitchy cheerleaders ever again! But now, my nightmares about seeing him again have come true, he's back, working in my resort and I have to deal with him.

“What are you talking about?” Daniel had asked looking slightly concerned.

“Hunter, the new lifeguard, he used to go to school with me and Tay. He used to bully me at lunchtimes, when Taylor was at clubs, I hated it!”

“Why didn't you tell me?” Taylor said rubbing my arm.

“I was scared you would tell a teacher, that would've meant that Hunter would bully me more for being a snitch.” That's when I felt a pair of arms around my neck, it didn't take a genius to know it was Taylor feeling bad. Yea, she was good at that too!

“I'm so sorry Layla, if I knew I never would've hired him. But, it's done now and he could've changed. Why don't you come and meet him?” I didn't want to but I knew I couldn't avoid him forever, here goes nothing.
