The Dead Girl: Book 1

Berlin...........Finally

The group arrived in Berlin at around 6:40 p.m and were worn out.

"That was the longest bus ride in history." Amelia said while stretching

"Well we still have to get to Lilith's fathers house." Julian said

Julian waved down a cab.

The cab pulled up to the curb in front of Julian.

"Hello i need a ride Bahnhofstrasse 5a." Julian said to the driver

"Kay hop in." The driver said in a thick accent.

They drove for about thirty minute's before they began to get close to the area.

"Can you just drop us off here?" Julian asked

They cab screeched to a stop and everyone was thrown forward.

"Thanks." Julian said out of breath

Everyone exited the car as Julian paid the driver.

When the taxi drove away Amelia stormed toward's Julian.

"Why did you make him stop here instead of taking us straight to the door." Amelia snapped

"We don't need some stranger knowing exactly where we went." Julian answered

"Let's go." Aaron said trying to ease the tension between the two.

They group walked toward a group of house's

"Is anyone else nervous?" Theodore questioned

Kathleen raised her hand slightly but Theodore noticed and put his arm around her.

"Don't worry sis i'm here for you." Theodore said

Kathleen smiled a small smile and continued to walk in the arms of her brother.

They walked for a few minutes when Julian stopped suddenly and it caused a chain reaction og running into each other.

"This is it." Julian said and walked up to the door about to knock.

"WAIT! I'm better with people let me do it." Kathleen said

"Okay." Julian said stepping away from the door

"Kathleen you shouldn't." Theodore said

"It's fine, I'll be fine Theodore." Kathleen said with the same small smile from earlier

Kathleen walked up, took a deep breath and knocked.

Nobody answered so she raised her hand to knock again but a man swung open the door. She was tall and had ginger hair and green eyes.

"Hello Mr.....?" Julian said

"Mr. Showler." He said

"Hello Mr. Showler we are here to talk to you about Absinthe Vaughn and Lilith." Julian said

"Absinthe Vaughn." Mr. Showler said as if the name was acid

"Yes we just want to talk to you about her." Kathleen said calmly.

It was the first time Mr. Showler looked at them. He let out a small gasp

"Kathleen....." was all he uttered

Kathleen took a step toward's her brother who protectively put an arm around her.

".........Theodore" he gasped

"You know who we are?" Kathleen said in a small voice

Mr. Showler looked at the ground as if he was ashamed of himself.

"No." Was all he managed to say

"May we come in?" Aaron asked breaking the silence

"Absolutely." Mr. Showler said as he ushered them inside
