It Was Always You

Good Morning

Riley's POV

I woke up this morning on the living room floor with my head hanging off Farkle's thigh and one leg on Missy's stomach and the other on Zay's face. I guess we all fell asleep getting the things ready for the sleepover.I laughed a little at the position that we were in and got up to check the time.

It was 6:27am so I decided to wake everyone up so we would all get a chance to get ready for school. I decided that Missy and I needed a laugh after everything so I walked quietly over to her and woke her up. "Riley?" She asked in a sleepy voice and I shhed her. "Lets scare the boys". I told her then all of a sudden She was awake and alert, looking not so sleepy anymore. I guess She thought we deserved a little laugh too.

We tip-toed slowly to the kitchen and each grabbed two frying pans. Then We walked back and straddled the boys carefully to not wake them up. Me straddling Farkle and Missy straddling Zay. We then looked at each other and in a second, we yelled "GOOD MORNING" as loud as we could while hitting the pans together. Farkle and Zay woke up terrified and screaming wierd things as they awoke. Farkle screamed "IT'S NOT MY PIG JOHNNY" and Zay yelled out "THE ROBOTS ARE COMING".

To sum it up, we were very pleased and satisfied with our work.

"Haha" farkle said then they both lifted us to the kitchen and putting us on the counter.

"What kind of dreams do you guys have at night...I mean you screamed some weird stuff when you came to". Missy asked and stated giggling.

"Laugh now but when the ROBOTS attack, I'll be prepared." Zay said and even farkle couldn't help but laugh.

"Oh you amature. Any scientist knows that robots have to have a super virus that only the creator can detect and control. Concluding that if we do get attacked by robots, then your chances of survival are very low and you will mostlikely be the first one down." Farkle said. All Missy and I could say was "Oh Farkle".

"Hey where is Josh" Missy asked. I was curious too."I'll check in my room" I told them and then Zay helped Me down and I walked to my bed room.
I spotted my adorably overprotective uncle sitting at the bay window with his thinking face on.

"Hey, what ya doing?" I asked.
"Just thinking" he responded with a little guilt left in his eyes. "Are you ok?" "Yea. Its Just that I feel like if I would have been there for you more, then none of this would have happened" he responded. It wasn't his fault. None of it was his fault. It hurt me that he was blaming himself for everything that happened. "You could not have known that any of this was going to happened. Not now and definitely not then. And if you don't want to see me hurt, then you can't hurt because that pain will feel like a thousand knives stabbing me in the heart." I said in a serious but calming tone"Ok" he returned.

"Now, where are mom and dad?" I asked "because they would have told us to quiet down earlier." "They, along with Auggie, went back to Phili for their high school reunion. They are going to spend some time down there for about 2 weeks to spend some time with mom and dad." He told me and I was kind of supprised that they left us alone and trusted us. "Im supprised they did-" I barely finished my sentence when Josh pulled out a stappled paper paket. He handed it to me and I couldnt help but laugh at the sight. Josh laughed at me knowning what I was going to say before he handed me the stappled paket with at least 10 pages of perfectly typed rules, concerns,meal plans just in case and more.

We took the papers out to the kitchen to show everyone. When we walked out, they were all dressed and ready for school. We weren't suprised though. The gang has been keeping cloths here for like forever and Josh use to bring Me and Missy's cloths here from the hospital so she had plenty of cloths here.

"Look what my parents left for us." They all laughed after seeing the title which read 'CONCERNS FOR RILEY, JOSH, MISSY, FARKLE, ZAY, MAYA,AND LUCAS. LUCAS STAY OUT OF MY DAUGHTER'S ROOM!!!' It was all in gigantic print and It was so like them.

At School

Lucas' POV

Maya and I were in Mr Matthews' classroom waiting for our friends to save us from the awkward silence between us. Right then, I see the rest of our friends walk in. And when Riley walked through the door, I clenched my jaw really hard to stop myself from drowning her in compliments and love. I can't even remember the last time she wore booty shorts.

Maya looked up and her jaw dropped. "Wow Riley, you look..wow" Maya said with shock in her face.

"Thanks. You know Zay actually picked this out for me. He said I oviously had no sence of style and told me to just back up and after 2 minutes, he came out my closet with the outfit." She explained. Wait why was zay and probably farkle at her house that early in the morning? "What was Zay doing at your house that early? " I asked trying not to sound jealous. "Oh we were helping the girls get the things ready for the sleep over." Farkle explained. And all I could think of was that I could have been there too. But instead I was on an awkward date with one of my best friends that I dont even think likes me romantically.

"Yeah it was so fun...but how was your date" Riley asked slow but unsure of herself.

"It was great." Maya added too quickly. I saw Riley's head go down and I couldn't help but think that she was jealous. She was playing with her tiny little fingers and looked so cute doing it.

Missy's POV

It was getting really unconfortable so I decided to break the silence. "So..um Riley and I are going boyfriend hunting today." I could see Lucas' fist turn white from clenching it so hard from anger. And I think I know what its about. "And we were wondering if you would help us out Maya. It will give us a chance to all hang out just us girls and maybe get to know each other a little more. So how bout it Maya?" I asked hoping she would say yes. I can tell she still doesn't trust me and I don't blame her but I really want to change that and maybe even be good friends with her. She looked at me and then at Riley and after a few more seconds, she finally said sure. I smiled brightly."Well since all the girls are hanging out today, why dont we guys do something later too. We can hang out at my house untill its time for the sleepover" farkle suggested and Lucas and Zay nodded in excitement. We all sat down when the sub came to the classroom.

Riley's POV

As the sub was doing name attendence, I couldn't help but think about that guy yesterday in the hallway. He was really cute and looked really familier. "-Lilly Luther, Riley Matthews... Riley Matthews?" I heard the sub say."oh sorry..I'm here" I said and he knodded politely. I went back to my thoughts soon after.

I know him. I just can't put my fing-. Then it hit me. I would recognize those eyes and that smile anywhere.

I broke his heart in the 8th grade after he was so sweet to me.
