Cyan's P.O.V

I ran as fast as I could dodging trees and leaping over bushes trying to escape my pursuers. I could tell they were rogues when I originally dashed out of the lake so I halted

Victors P.O.V.

I felt a slight disturbance earlier today when my head started to hurt like I got a slight headache straight out of nowhere. That was weird. Then, just a moment ago I got this pit-like feeling in my gut like when I get scared, but it left me puzzled. 'Why would I be afraid I'm in my office I've been in here trying to distract myself from other 'dilemma's'. There is no possible reason to feel this way. Just then I heard an angelic voice call to me in my mind and instantly recognized it as Cyan my heart swelled at the idea of her calling me, 'Victor!' That train was immediately derailed when I heard the tremor of fear cast through her cry for help. In less than an instant I was out of my seat and bounding down the hall trying to focus on her.

'Cyan baby where are you?'

'Victor please? Help me!'

'Cyan calm down baby I need to know your location. Can you tell me where you are?'

'Just head towards the lake I'm at the Cliffside caverns nearby oh they're coming! Hurry!'

'Cyan? Cyan? Answer Me Dammit!' 'Daniel where are you? I need trackers and warriors now!'

'Yes Alpha, I'm on my way.' Daniel cut our link and headed to our eastern boarder where I found Daniel waiting for me patiently with ten wolves behind him. They nodded towards me in respect but I cut straight through the formalities and shouted two simple orders; "Follow me. Kill anything in our way," before shifting into my wolf and heading towards the lake.

We stopped by the shore and picked up Cyan's scent and it was faded like if she'd been gone for a long while. I signaled for the trackers to do their job and was satisfied to hear they found her trail. Now they were leading our group north and we found ourselves at a cliff. I shifted forms and spoke to them calmly. "She said she was in one of these caves split up in groups of two and find her. If you encounter an enemy kill all but one or two I'm going to get answers if it kills me." My subordinates slightly cringed at my tone but bowed their heads in submission before running in different directions. I followed my head tracker to a small cave behind a waterfall and was disappointed when I didn't find anything. 'Maybe he was off his game.'

It was as if he heard me maybe I mind linked that to him accidentally. He shook his head and continued forward. 'Oops.' He howled in victory and signaled for me to look in a big hole at the end of this little cavern. Cyan was still in her wolf form but I could tell she'd been knocked unconscious from what I'm guessing was a nasty fall. I barked to get her attention louder and louder but to no avail. She didn't move save for her breathing. I jumped down careful to avoid landing on her still frame in the small space available. I shifted and combed through her fur with my fingers and tried calling to her. She didn't even stir. I tried again but louder and this time her body stopped moving and for a split second I panicked but then she let out a low whimper and then silence. She was still breathing but I tried to reach her through our mind link. I sighed loudly in frustration when I got no response. Just when I opened my mouth to speak Jeremy, one of the trackers, mind linked me news about a rogue scent nearby and asked permission to follow it.

Getting Cyan out was going to be tricky but I can do it. I just need a little edge. Scanning this cavernous hole was not too difficult considering my eyes have adjusted and our wolf half has like a weird night vision ability. That still weirds me out sometimes but whatever. After a second pass I found a ledge where I can lay Cyan down while I climb to carry her up in a jump. Although the ledge was smaller than I thought it was it had just enough room to place my feet firmly before I jumped with Cyan's body over my shoulders. Thank the goddess she was light well to me anyways. The jump really took a lot out of me it kind of winded me. I've been feeling weaker by the minute since entering this god forsaken cave. I tried my best to smooth it out for her comfort. I carried her towards the opening in the cave and laid her down to check her injuries in the better lighting. I couldn't see it at first but she had been impaled by something near her stomach. I couldn't make out the object but it looked rough and she began to bleed it wasn't big or life-threatening but I needed to get her help now. "I can't believe I did this to us. If I'd had better control none of this would be happening." Pausing for a moment to calm down. "Cyan baby hold on I'm gonna get you to the pack doctor just stay with me." With these last words I lifted Cyan onto my shoulders once more and headed back home hoping that whatever it was wasn't serious. 'Daniel I have Cyan and she's been wounded I'm going home have Jeremy and the others follow his trail if it's nothing tell them to hurry home. Understood? I want you to meet up with me. I won't be able to protect her in this form if I get ambushed.'
