Caution tape

97 5 3

You're wrapped up in caution tape
I know I'll make a big mistake
Maybe it's something in your face
It's a chance that I will take

I reach out while sirens blare
My hand stops in empty air
I wonder if I should just stop there
But I reach out and touch your hair

Someone fires a warning shot
But I know one shot is all they've got
Your electric touch is what I want
I want to touch you quite a lot

Your eyes are bright as I unwrap you
A Christmas present, and I've a clue
What's inside; it's hard to hide
I can easily identify you

You wrap me up in your arms
We run, we run away
We hold hands as we run off
But it's my last day today.
