Chapter 28// Last Day with the Pack

For now, she was just going to live in the moment. And this exact moment, was beautiful. Nothing could ruin this night for her.

'Alice, listen. I love you. And I'd never cheat on you again.'

That would do it.

"Vik?"

"Yes, Alice?"

"Why'd you cheat on me?" She asked, taking her head off his chest.

"Mistakes, Ali. I couldn't help it, I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing."

"You didn't know what you were doing?"

"Yeah... A little to much to drink doesn't do a person well."

"I guess. Anyway, it doesn't make sense to reflect on it now." Just then, her phone rang. She let go of Vik and walked to the back hallway, hoping to be able to hear the person on the other end.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Alice, it's your father. Something's wrong with your sister. Where's Josh?"

"Uh, he's in the room over... Why? What's wrong?"

"Hazel, said something was wrong with you, as if you were... Pregnant? Or something."

"Oh, well of course. I am pregnant." Alice laughed. "Get my sister on the line please."

"Okay, wow? You didn't tell your own father that you were pregnant?"

"Sorry, I never really got around to it! Hazel must have found out through my social media!" She giggled again.

"Right. Here's Hazel."

"Hi Hazel!" Alice smiled as if she could see it.

"Hi Alice... So you are pregnant?! Why didn't you tell me!!!"

"Sorry, didn't figure you cared!"

"Of course I care! I'm your sister!"

"Well, half, sister." Alice bit her lip, sighing.

"Whatever! I'm still your sister!"

"I know, and I'm sorry. Listen, I'm having a party right now so... I'll call you tomorrow and we can talk more about this, alright?" Alice moved a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Okay. You better not forget. I'm counting on this call, now."

"Alright, Hazel. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye Ali."

Alice put the phone in her pocket, walking back over into the living room. Josh stopped her before she got back to the rest of the group.

"What was that about? Was it dad?"

"Yeah, apparently Hazel found out about me being pregnant and told dad, but he didn't believe her. He was kinda angry that I hadn't told him..."

"And who's fault is that?" Josh reprimanded.

"My own, now go have fun with your friends."

"Fine, fine."
