It hadn't been long since Alice and Vik moved into their new apartment, which just so happened to be in the same building as Tobi, Ethan, and JJ's apartments. Alice was glad to see a familiar face around every corner she turned when she left the building. It made her feel safer, knowing she had many friends that would look after her if anything were to go wrong.
Alice had ordered a few pieces of furniture, but not to many. She didn't know what kind of design to go with. Vik wanted a modern theme, basically sticking with black and white objects, but Alice wanted the apartment to feel like home.
Especially since Alice had just found out a day ago that she was pregnant...
"Okay, guys." Alice vlogged, "I'm going to tell Vik that I'm pregnant, with this little box... It has a picture of my ultrasound I got done yesterday and my pregnancy test I took in the morning. Let's do this." She handed the camera to Tobi, who'd already known she was pregnant. He was really excited, after all, he'd basically be an uncle to the child.
"Babe?" Alice knocked on his office door, waiting for a reply.
"Yeah?"
"I have to give something to you."
"I'm kinda on skype with the Pack what do you need to give me?"
"I don't care, I'm coming in."
"Alright." Vik responded. Alice opened the door.
"Here." Alice placed the box on his desk. Vik stared awkwardly at Tobi.
"What's this?" He pointed at the camera.
"Shhh, just open the box."
"Yeah, Vik, just open the box." Rob giggled.
Vik began to remove the tape from the top, pulling the lid off the box. His face lit up with happiness. Tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
"Alice!" He cried, standing.
"You're gonna be a father." Alice felt a tear fall down her own cheek as she heard the boys in the Skype call cheer.
"I'm so happy!" He grinned, pulling her into a tight hug. Alice couldn't help but let more tears fall, happy, of course.
"I'm glad." Alice whispered, running a hand through the back of his head.
"I'm gonna be a father..." Vik took a step back and stared at her stomach. Of course, being only two months pregnant, she didn't really have much of a bump.
"I know, I know you are." She wiped her nose and cheeks.
"I'm literally beyond happy right now..."
"Me too."
"Do we know what the gender is yet?" He asked, looking back at the box on the desk.
"Not yet, but soon."
"Girl?"
"Emilia."
"Boy?"
"Preston."
Suddenly, they heard Preston become excited in the Skype call. It made them laugh.
"I love you." Vik hugged her once more.
"I know."
Tobi ended the recording, placing the camera on the desk for Vik.
"Thank you, Tobi."
"Anytime, that was fantastic." Tobi smiled, leaving the office.
"Ah, have you told the rest of the boys yet?" Vik sat back down in his chair, still smiling.
"No, I was hoping we could both tell them in a Skype call."
"Sounds good. Guys, if you don't mind, I have some important news to tell the Sidemen."
"No worries, dude. Congrats!" Mitch smiled as the rest of the boys said their goodbyes to Vik. He hung up the call.
"Right... Sidemen, sidemen, sidemen... Ah, here." He clicked on the skype conversation and pressed 'call'.
Eventually almost all of the Sidmen answered, besides Jide, who was in Simon's room, and Tobi, who was in the living room editing some videos.
"Hey, guys!" Simon smiled.
"Hi, Simon! Josh, Ethan... All of you! We have some important news."
"What is it, Alice?" Josh must has noticed her red eyes.
"Josh, guys, I-I'm-"
"-we, are pregnant!" Vik smiled.
"Oh my god! Imma be an uncle!" Jide jumped out of his seat and fell onto Simons bed behind him.
"Same!" Ethan bounced around in his chair.
"Yes!" Simon smiled. It was fake, but at least he tried to not seem upset.
"Wow, Alice, I-I can't even find words! I'm so excited!" Josh grinned.
"I love you guys! Thanks for the positive reactions... To be honest, I was worried as hell that none of you would be happy with this."
"Are you kidding me, Alice?! My only sister is pregnant with my niece or nephew and you think I'd be mad at you?" Josh furrowed his eyebrows, "How silly."
"Actually though. C'mon Ali. We're all over the moon." Harry added.
"Thanks guys, I actually really appreciate all the support. I hope you guys are ready for Sidechild number one!"
Vik laughed, "Are you sure we shouldn't just name the child that? It would be much cooler. We could call him or her Side."
"What a stupid name, Vik. This is why I'm never letting you pick a name for any of our children. If we have anymore, of course." Alice nudged him, smiling.
"I better shut up then."
"I'd suggest it."
An hour later, the Skype call had ended and somehow the day had too. Alice was so tired, she almost fell asleep on the way to her bed. Vik had to help her most of the way.
"I still cannot believe I'm going to be a father."
"Well, believe it. I'm 100% sure that I'm pregnant." Alice giggled.
"Yeah I know, I know. What do you think it'll be?"
"I think the baby will be a girl. Emilia Anne. What about you, Vik?"
"Boy. Preston Mitchell."
"Cute name. That helps me out so much." Alice sighed a sigh of relief. She thought the name process would be tough.
"Well, I'm actually super tired and happy, so I'm gonna sleep. Goodnight babe, goodnight little baby. I'll see you both in the morning." He rubbed her stomach, smiling.
"Goodnight, Vik. I'm sure the child is saying goodnight to you as well."
"Tell the baby I love it so much, and I can't wait to meet him or her in seven months."
