Last Lover | Nisekoi Fanfiction | P.C 2015

~3rd Person P.O.V~

Y/N is a girl who tries her very best to please her parents. Her parents were very happy to announce her great achievements from school and would always speak of her when they were with their friends. Y/N wouldn't know because she was either at school or home. If anyone had asked her the question: "Do you think you hate your parents?" She would reply, "I wouldn't exactly say I hate them, nor would I say I love them." It was always the same answer, no matter who asked the question.

When Y/N's parents were at home, she would go ask them if there was anything they need. They would usually reply,

"Y/N, all we ask for is your studies to be excelled and nothing more," and get her into her bedroom, locking her in. She would always think that her parents were doing the best for her and keep going on with her work, waiting for the door to be unlocked whilst she was in her bedroom.

The bedroom was lovely light blue painted and the chandelier would be sparkling in the daylight and a dull yellow at night. There were two windows, opposite of each other. The frames were made of dark ebony, the colour fading to a lighter grey at the edges. There were dolls and toys stacked over on one side of the bed and books on the other. Y/N had currently finished reading all the massive books that were on the side, some which were in different languages. Her parents would always smile satisfyingly at her when she had spoken in the language they were asking her to reply in. There would also be the variety of makeup that was seen near one of the windows with the Disney princess sticker stuck on. Y/N had told her mother that that window was the one which was most special to her because she had seen something outside which had appealed to her so she placed the sticker on. Her mother had then asked her what it was, but she told her it was a secret and going back to the present, she had forgotten what had interested her.

You could conclude that it was a huge room, and Y/N would sit on her bouncy bed, which was in the corner with the rest of her toys and equipments stacked, some on tables, others on the ground. Apart from those treasures of hers, the one that mattered importantly to her was the photo in the dusty frame which was taken when she was just a child. Her parents were with her, smiling and laughing together. Y/N placed it in a transparent glass box and it would always be the first thing she saw when she woke up.

After she woke up, her breakfast would be laid on the kitchen table, ready and organised, while her parents would unlock the door and let her out. She would breathe in the fresh air that was outside her bedroom and rush down the stairs to gobble up her delicious food. Her parents would usually be at the desk, working on their laptops, while Y/N would go back up her room and change into her clothes.

The wardrobe would be next to the room and there would be tons of clothes that her parents bought for her. Every time she looked into the wardrobe she would think that she was a spoilt kid. But if she thought again of how her parents treated her, she noticed that she wouldn't call a child like herself spoilt. She then would leave home and travel by bike to her nearby school.

Y/N at school was very different from when she was at home. She had very great friends and was quite talkative at school, except not with family issues. She would go after school with her friends when they invited her to go to places, which she enjoyed. Y/N's parents usually don't object to the idea of their daughter going out with friends, watching movies, eating at restaurants for dinner nor even sleeping over on Fridays. Her parents had told her, "If you can finish all your homework and not get into trouble by teachers, or anything to do with resulting a bad school report, then you can do whatever you want. Oh, and you must be home by 9 o'clock, sharp. Of course on Fridays, it's a ok," her father had made a circle with his fingers, "Bad school report and returning home after 9 are no no's," her mother wagged a finger in front of Y/N's face at that time.

Y/N knew that if she had not followed her parents' orders, there would be great punishment that would follow. She had received a phone on her 10th birthday and once she had broken it, her mother had given her a great whacking for weeks. Her father had given her more, supporting her mother's side greater than Y/N's.

Y/N's friend, or best friend you may say, Reiko, had once thought of staying over at her house, and when she tried calling Y/N's parents, they had rejected her call several times. Reiko had gotten depressed and asked Y/N the next day why she didn't pick up. Y/N had replied that she did not know probably because she was sleeping. At that time Reiko had not known her sleeping schedule, so she asked. She replied around 6-7 if possible. That had surprised Reiko for she had invited her over to her house sometimes on Fridays and she apologised to her. Y/N asked her why she was apologising and she replied that she was sorry because she had not known that she slept so early. Y/N then scolded her for apologising for no reason. They soon started to argue about it and became the best of friends.

When Y/N returned home after school, her parents would most likely be sleeping and if she had not eaten, she had to cook for herself. Some nights all she had for dinner was burnt egg and some nights were take aways from stores and restaurants. Her parents didn't exactly care for her too much, for they thought that she would manage by herself.

But they were wrong.
