Amelia patiently waited as her mother walked back and forth debating if she should looked fine or not. Anna and her daughter were going to Amelia's grandparents house for birthday.

Little Amelia was turning three years old and her wish was to spend her birthday with her father's family, Anna's ex-husband's family. She was married with Thiago for almost five years, but now they were in process of divorce.

It was strange how Anna believed she was over Thiago but here she was worrying if she looked okay for him and his family. "Mommy, are we leaving yet? You look pretty."

Anna smiled at her daughter and kissed her forehead. "You're right baby, let's go now." She took her daughter and soon they were on their way to Valeria and David's house.

Thiago had called Anna earlier saying he would arrive later to surprise his daughter. She still lived in Barcelona with her daughter but traveled once in a while to Munich for Amelia to see her father every once in a while.

Barcelona was a good place for her. She spent her time taking care of her daughter and working on her fashion designs. She had her family and Thiago's always by her side.

They arrived at Valeria and her husband David's house. Amelia loved going over there because she got to play with Bruno who was her uncle but only a couple years older.

"Well if it isn't the birthday girl herself! And of course, her beautiful mama." Valeria said opening the door, while picking her granddaughter of the ground and into her arms.

Even though the divorce was happening, Thiago's family loved Anna. How could they not when she was Amelia mother and such an amazing person who spent years by their side.

Anna herself enjoyed her time with Valeria, and especially how she was with her daughter. Valeria was a fun person, very liberal for her age. She considered herself a glam-mother because she was so fabulous.

Valeria hugged Anna, telling her how amazing she looked. "Gracias Valeria, is everyone here?" She asked as they walked inside her home.

"Yes, David and Mazinho are downstairs having a drink and my kids are outside." She responded but soon their attention was turned to the men that were walking in the kitchen.

"Abuelo!" Little Amelia wiggled out of Valeria arms into Mazinho. "Hola princesa, happy birthday my angel." He cooed his granddaughter.

Anna watched how well Mazinho and David got along. Thiago always admired that about his father, how he was never bothered by Valeria's husband. His kids were important.

Once Anna greeted David she hugged Mazinho hello, and they made their way outside to where Valeria had managed to decorate a small party.

She noticed Rafinha, and Thiago's best friend Jonathan. Tata and Bruno were also there fixing the presents on the table. Once they all saw Amelia they ran to say hello. She was a loved child.

"Hey sister-in-law, how ya doing?" Rafinha said hugging her tightly. He was definitely one of her closest friends. "Stop calling me that Rafa."

"You will forever be my sister, right?" He asked Jona who sooned joined as well. "Of course, plus you really think Thiago is over you? Yeah right." Jona added.

"Well we kinda are getting divorced, so I am guessing yes." She chuckled a bit. Internally she was hopeful one of them to slip a comment saying Thiago wasn't truly over her, but that didn't happen.

It like right on time, Thiago walked in the door holding a giant box wrapped in pink for his daughter. "Papa!" Amelia yelled running to her dad.

Thiago looked good, like always, Anna thought. She almost melted when he saw his smile, she always loved it. He walked over to everyone greeting them and then over to Anna.

"Hey." He said and engulfed her in a tight hug. She mumbled the same word as her skin was pressed against him. "You look good, as always." He added.

Anna felt herself turn red, and was extremely lucky no one could see it. "Thank you." She said. They pulled apart and he was taken by the guys.

Amelia lightly pulled on her mother's dress to ask if they could cut the cake now that her dad had arrived. "Valeria is it okay if we cut the cake, someone's getting a little antsy."

"Of course! Tata, hija, take pictures please." Valeria spoke to her daughter. Tata came running with her camera in her hand, and pushed her older brother in the picture.

Amelia grabbed her mom and dad, bringing them closer to her. Thiago took hold of Anna's waist holding her close for the picture as they smiled at the camera. "That's a beautiful family." Rafinha said.

Anna internally agreed with Rafinha. They looked perfect, and happy in the photograph. Sometimes she wondered why Thiago wanted a divorce, it wasn't like they weren't happy. But like they told everyone else around them, things were just complicated.

Maybe Thiago didn't love her like she thought she did, or maybe she did something wrong and she wasn't aware of it. Thinking about all of this made Anna upset, it brought ber mood down.

She put on a fake smile as they sang the happy birthday song to their daughter and she blew her candles. However Thiago kept his eyes in his, still, wife. She wasn't happy, and he could tell.

Once the little one cut her cake with the help of her father, Anna excused herself to the restroom. Everyone seemed to notice she was bothered by something. "I'll be back, okay." He rushed upstairs to find Anna coming out of the restroom wipping her tears.

"Anna, amor what's wrong?" He said wipping her tears from her cheeks. She grabbed his hand and held it close. "Why don't you love me Thiago?"

His eyebrows furrowed as he didn't understand what she was saying. "Anna where is all of this coming from? I love you, you know that."

"Then why are you leaving me Thiago? Why did you ask for a divorce?" Anna let the tears fall again. They never had this conversation; all of their feelings were left inside of them.

"Anna, you wanted this. Amor you were unhappy, I could see it. This is what we wanted." He explained. It caused him pain because he believed she was the one who didn't love him, that's why he brought up the divorce.

"Thiago I don't want this, I want you. If I was unhappy you couldn't talked to me or something. I love you." She cried making his heart break. Thiago pulled her close wrapping his arms around her small body.

"God I'm so sorry Anna, I promised to love you and take care of you and now I've only caused you pain." He said kissing her forehead. "I don't care, just don't leave again please. I need you."

Anna and Thiago were both relieved that they weren't going to separate. It's like they both thought this was what they wanted and needed that they were blinded and realized they just need each other.

They came back outside to hand-in-hand giving everyone the news that there was going to be no divorce and their family was moving to Munich.

Amelia was of course happy and glad her birthday wish had came true.
