alison pov

"alison please say something." emily said when we were in the car.

i laughed unhumorously, "what do you want me to say emily? have fun in the army, don't die before i do?"

"you're not gonna die alison!"

"emily face it! this is cancer! my grandpa died from it! who's to say i will not?"

"you! alison it's up to you whether you want to live or not! and i am sorry but i fucking need you on this planet! we are having our wedding remember?"

"when?! how can we have it before you leave?! we still need a place and-"

"we can do it tomorrow." she said, cutting me off.

"what?" i asked, in shock by her words, turning to my fiance.

she smiled, "i want this to happen before i leave okay? and i have the perfect place."

i chuckled, "and where is that?"

"the kissing rock."

a huge grin formed on my lips as i looked at my amazing girlfriend.

"are you serious?"

"hell yeah. i'll tell you what. you get some rest and i will sort everything out."

i smiled so happily and nodded.

we got home and cece stood up, "what happened?"

"cece...i uh...need to tell you something."

she nodded and sat down carefully.

"just. alexis you too babes." i said and smiled lightly.

"ok you're starting to scare me. what's going on?"

i sighed and looked at emily who put her hand on my back and rubbed circles.

"i am sick...i have leukemia."

words can't describe the pain and horror written on cece's face.

"w-what?"

"what's leukemia mama?" alexis asked.

i wanted to collapse right there.

just collapse into a heap of sobs and screams but i can't. i must stay strong. for the sake of my family and soon-to-be wife.

"i have cancer sweetie."

alexis stared at me in shock and the tears that fell from her face were going rapidly fast.

"alexis-"

"NO! you can't! you can't die mama!"

i sighed, "baby it's okay. i won't die." i said and sat on the couch.

she sobbed and emily came over and we all hugged.

"i will fight alright? for you. i won't leave you baby. ever."

she sniffled and looked at me, "please mama. fight it. you can win."

i giggled and nodded, "i promise." i whispered and she held up her pinky, "pinky promise?"

i smiled at her and locked our pinkies.

"pinky promise." i said and kissed her nose.

i pulled away and handed my daughter to emily and stood up.

cece looked up at me and she looked as if she was going to pass out.

"cece-"

she pulled me into her, onto the couch and hugged me oh-so tightly.
