Chapter 21
Dominique
"Ok people," Mrs. Richards claps her hands together, "we have one more week till
the big fiesta!" She picks up her clip board.
"Alrighty then. Georgia, how is your team?"
"Uh, we are done with getting all the decorations. All we need to do is set up
and we're done." She smiles.
"Great! Ok, Rich?" She scribbles on her clip board.
"Catering is all set," He punches the air. If he didn't have that overly
obnoxious mustache and five o'clock shadow, he'd actually look way he acts:
younger.
"Excellent! Edna, Wilma?"
"Ordered the rentals. They'll be here Friday." Edna says.
"The lights are a go!" Wilma nods with a bright smile. Her blonde bob shook
along with her head.
"And Dominique? How's the music going, soldier?" She asks me.
I pull out my Ipod and raise it up, "All here captain."
"Fab-u-lous! So we are pretty much set! I'll be sending out the invites
Monday and we'll begin set up starting Tuesday with rentals and lighting,"
she places her clip board down, "There are a few thing that I need to go over.
First we will be-."
I jump in my seat when my pocket vibrates. I pull out my phone.

Chiquita , I'm still missing a shirt. Bring it later.
I smile to myself. Ever since the day after I told him we should be pals, he
decided to give me a nickname. The dumbo won't even tell me what it means!
I sneakily pound a text back.

Too bad Fartface. You're not getting it. I'm wearing it tonight.
Don't get the wrong idea. We're definitely not going out on some kind of date,
if that's what you thinking. The town fall fair is opening tonight and since I
never went before, I wanted to go. Riley was going on a movie date with Jake,
Johnny and Stacie (eww disgusting), Julie is babysitting the runt, Kyle is
taking Bunny out (aw so cute, young love!) and CJ and Brooke are hooking up
(double eww times dos)! And who knows what my other friends are doing, so lonely
me asked Antonio if he wanted to go after our study session today before this
meeting. Plus, no one i know really goes to the fair so I don't have to worry
about gossip spreading about us.

Is that an invite?
To: Antonio
For what, loser?
