Chapter 25: In Danger

Bailey's POV

We had a funeral for Dale. I'm gonna miss him so much. We all will. He always knew what to say. Now we have to make the farm secure. We can't let anymore more walkers come here. Now that it's getting close to winter the walkers have been roaming around to our place. So far we've only seen just the one from last night. But we can't let it happen again. Hershel is now letting us stay in his house since it's getting colder at night. Things with Hershel are getting better. I'm glad. I was checking around the perimeter with my gun for any walkers. So far none.

"Hey." Rick said.

I smiled at him.

"How's it going?" He asked.

"I haven't seen any walkers at all." I said.

"I was talking about you." Rick said. "I know we haven't talked much after everythang that's been happening. I just wanted to make sure you're ok."

"I'm ok." I said.

"We're gonna go with our original plan." Rick said. "Me and Daryl are driving Randal out. It was the right plan before."

I nodded.

"Well, I trust things will be better with Daryl." I said.

"Yeah and while we are gone can you make sure all hell doesn't break loose with Shane?" He asked.

I chuckled.

"I thought you said he wouldn't be a problem anymore." I said.

"Well I just wanna make sure." He said. "I also asked Andrea, but I trust you more."

I started blushing.

"So will you?" He asked.

"Yes." I said.

Everything is so complicated right now. It's like one minute we are alone and he starts kissing me and telling me he loves me, and the next we are having a normal conversation. What's going on in his head? I get that he doesn't wanna act on his feelings. He still has Lori and he may or may not be the father of her baby. If we weren't in this situation, and if he wasn't married, I would grab him and kiss him. But I can't.

"Since no one is around can I tell you something?" Rick asked.

"Of course." I said.

He steps closer to me and whispers in my ear.

"You look beautiful as always." He whispers.

Then he kisses my cheek. I laughed while blushing.

"You're so crazy, Grimes." I said.

"I'm crazy about you." Rick said while winking.

He walks away.

I walked around some to more to look around. I heard a noise. I immediately think it's a walker so I go follow the noise. Then I stop. It wasn't a walker. It was Shane. He has Randal and he's taking him into the woods.

"What the hell?" I asked.

I follow Shane.
