Chapter 24- Nice to meet you Jasey Rae

As a short time passed,

She saw that he was happy.

He has friends that he loves,

And who love him.

She finally decided what to do.

She shifted through her box of unaddressed letters,

To find a blank one.

When she did, she pulled out a dark purple pen.

And with a sense of pure nostalgia,

She wrote,

For perhaps the last time

      'Jason Alexander Copper

You are loved'

She made her way to the only class they shared,

And maybe what happened next was by pure chance,

Or maybe it was fate.

Whatever the reason,

Partners were selected for the group project,

Which was previously mentioned in class.

As fate indeed played its part,

He

And she, were paired.

Before he could even lay his eyes on her,

She quickly slipped her final letter into his open bag.

Then proceeded to turn to him,

"You're Jason, right?"
She asked.

"Yes"
He smiled genuinely.

"I'm Jasey Rae"
She smiled back

"Do I know you from somewhere?"
He said, raising his eyebrow in curiosity.

She thought...
Of the past two years.
About the hundreds of letters she had written,
And of the 16 she had given to him.
She thought of the 16 he had given her in return,
And how she really only ever wanted this boy to be happy.

"No"
She laughed lightly.
"I would have remembered you"

"Well then,"
He picked up his bag and extended his hand for her to shake.

"It's nice to meet you Jasey Rae"

And though my story has now come to an end,
Perhaps... theirs will carry on.
