7 letters.

He had seven letters,

That all said the same three words.

I love you:

And he carelessly responded to each one.

I hate you:

So now both parties held seven letters.

When was this going to end?

When would the anonymous writer finally give up?

Finally decide he wasn't worth it...

-

When he arrived at the school,

He was approached,

By a small child...

Pulling at his hand until he kneeled beside her,

The little girl brought a small white envelope out of her bag,

He of course recognized it

And quickly asked the small girl,

Where she had found it.

She replied with a quiet answer,

Saying that it had been given to her,

By the lady in white.

And then the small girl ran away.

Not once looking back.

Tucking the eighth letter into his pocket,

He made his way to class.

At the end of the crowded hall he saw,

A petit girl,

Dressed in all white.

And he was determined to catch her this time.
