Assassin: Initial

Chapter 13

"Too bad for you that you turned your back to me."

"Ace I presume... tech... you're not the brightest. I spoke to you guys for a reason and you were the first to speak when you're a hostage in a situation like this your voice is strains and wines from the fear of being killed no matter who it is if you didn't intentionally make yourself that is." I sighed with a bit of smugness.

"Yeah well too bad you didn't come prepared for it." Ace huffed. "Oh! I did..." I snarled as my other hand grabbed my second gun and jabbed his in the stomach.

"... Now!" I yelled as I squeezed the trigger and fired the gun. Ace screamed in pain falling to the ground.

I shot King in the foot then his hand before he could shoot me. With the other, I fired at Queen. Someone burst through the building at Queen.

I saw Jack get up and begin to run away. "I'll get him you worry about her." I exclaimed the ran after him. My Uncle Icarus ran after chased after him as well with me.

"Cut him off!" he told me I nodded and went through an alleyway getting in front of him making him turn around to try to get away but Icarus was right behind him, we corned Jack, we got him.

"Give it up your cornered!" Icarus yelled. "Damn it." he murmured, I put the cuffs on him and we took him back to the car, I threw him into the back of the cruiser.

"Look out!" Icarus yelled at me I ducked down to the ground and he fired. I turned to see King's dead body on the ground in front of me.

That was close he was going to kill me. I muttered. "Thanks." I sighed I could tell another was behind me I knew who it was I didn't need to turn around.

"Did you get her?" I asked. "No, this one got in the way." They answered voice distorted they were holding Ace up by her arms.

"Sigh... Throw her with the other one." I sighed. I watch as they threw Ace in back slamming into Jack.

"I can't believe that the Assassin is here the police!" Queen laughed venom in her tone as she clicked her tongue we couldn't see her only hear her voice.

"This is a special case... They own me a favor you could say." I answered sharpness in my tone. "But don't you stop killer's." She huffed.

"This one saves lives and takes.... Well, they've given us more criminals than they kill." I sighed. "Also saving my officer in there from you and all, he gets a temporary pass." Icarus answered.

"You disgust me!" She growled. I then felt a presence behind me.

Damn it! I got distracted by that voice I didn't realize the presence behind me. I growled putting my one gun away in its hilt.

I jumped over the hood of the and moved pulling out my knife out from my leg knife hilt and blocked the attack. With my gun in the other hand, I fired my gun to push her back. I went to shoot again when I pulled the trigger nothing happened.

"I'm out!" I hissed I quickly rolled from her slash with her dagger, but she grabbed me. She put her dagger on my neck.

"Damn!"

I thrust my knife back into Queen. "I'm not going down yet!" I hissed I was about to move when I got a feeling and stay still, the sound of a gun rang I felt the air rush past me grazing my check.

I felt Queen go limp but not before she slightly grazed her dagger along my neck. I quickly placed my hand over my neck where she slashed.

"You alright?" The Assassin asked as Icarus came over to me.

"Yeah, it's not deep it only broke the surface." I answered as they came over and wrapped a bandage around my neck.

I then whispered something to them quietly. They put things down.

"Well, thanks for that but... I have to take you in." I sighed. "Not happening." He laughed throwing down a smoke bomb and disappeared.

"Ahh well." Icarus sighed grabbing what the Assassin dropped.

The other's arrived not long after and got to work. I was taken to get checked out by the medics. It was crazy the press got here and went at me.

"Like I said! It was a time pressure incident. That was a success for the Assassin as you call 'em assistance but got away when everything died down. Without that assistance more would have died. So despite who they are how the Assassin got away I am grateful how things turned out or I know more would have died for sure if this course of action didn't go down." I sighed.

"Who are you?" One asked. "No comment. Now let me be... Also, don't twist my words or your's in any way or else!" I hissed which I saw made them shudder.

"I want to go home now."

"Alright let's go." Icarus sighed. We drove to the station dropped them off meaning Ace and Jack. I went to the change room while Icarus filled out paperwork.

I got changed put on the fake cast grabbed my things, took off my make-up, and made the streak disappear.

I walked out, got in the car. Getting a ride to my adoptive families place thanks to Icarus driving me.

Well that's it for the chapter. It had a lot of action. It was a nice build up I thought.
