Chapter 6 Rain can Burn

"Because she'll kill me." He said plainly.

"I'll ask her for you." You suggested.

"Uh, No, you won't-"

"Hey Gaz, can Dib walk under you umbrella too? If you ever want it, I'll buy you the Swine Slaughter DLC for Vampire piggy hunter." You said. Gaz opened one of her eyes and grunted.

"Hmph...fine but only because that DLC is cool looking..." She forced out as she popped open her umbrella and grabbed Dibs coat collar. You watched as the both walked/got dragged away.

'Ah, sibling love...' You thought smiling to yourself. You looked at Zim again as he sat pouting on the steps. You stood over him and he looked at you again.

"What?" He snarled at you. You lidded your eyes at him at kelt next to him.

"If I'm going with you to your house then get up so we can go. Do you want to walk under my umbrella with me?" You asked showing him the (F/C) tool.
He nodded hesitantly, his purple eyes not breaking contact with yours as you both stood up. You opened up the umbrellas and it popped open quickly, Zim jumped a bit as the fast motion startled him. You giggled and he scowled at you. You rolled your eyes and sighed as you moved the umbrella above the two of you. Zim softly took your hand,

"I will lead you there, come on." He spoke monotonously, taking high steps in his pace as he walked. You shook your head as you felt the very aura of his ego enter your senses. You followed him, well, more like pulled down the stairs as he hopped down each one. You both walked down the side walk getting farther and farther away from the school. Zim had let go of your hand after you very adamantly explained you could simply follow along. Together, you both headed down the damped sidewalk as the rain pattering and squelching of your shoes were the only things audible at the moment. Neither of you spoke, until you finally gave into the thick silence.

"So uh...Zim...what do you like to do? Ya know..after school?" He looked over at you, one eye squinted, a non existent eyebrow quirked.

"Wouldn't you like to know? Why does everything have to concern you, (Y/n)-stink?" He answered a hint of suspicion in his voice.

"I literally asked you A question." You drawled, deapanning and giving up on trying to be nice. (Almost). Zim hummed at this and strained to get his response out,

"You wouldn't understand, it's to high tech for an average human like you..." He spat out. You sighed in frustration. Ok, now you're not trying anymore.

"Alright, why did you ask me to come with you to your base?..." You said stopping in your tracks Zim quickly stopping to, almost bumping into you.

"B-base...?" He said, actually sounding more like a question .

"Yes, base....." You crossed your arms, shifting your weight. Zim placed his hands, one in other, behind his back. He smirked and merely chuckled,

"In due time...(Y/N)-human...In due time." He mumbled. You blew a piece of stray hair out of your face in frustration and took the lead slighty in front of him.

'What the hell is that supposed to mean? Does he know that I know that he's an alien?' (A/n: I was gonna put a Friends reference here but that would divert the plot.) You thought. The eardrums in your head were shattered when you heard Zim screeching his lungs out behind you. You whipped around to see the umbrella flying away from a recent gust of wind. You barely processed anything when Zim full on blew past you sprinting away, and might you add, he was smoking. (A/n: In more ways than one...)

"Zim, wait!" You screamed, with a strange sense of concern and fear for the extraterrestrial. You sprinted after him, getting soaked from the cats and dogs rain, until you came to the green house you seen before.

'Why am I not surprised?' He yanked the door open and you ran in after him. You slammed it shut so no water could get inside. You heard a small 'wump' behind you, Zim was on the floor still sizzling and whimpering. You've never seen a reaction like this, even an allergic reaction wasn't this bad. His skin was blistering, his skin audibly hissing in irritation from the surronding puddle, and his body curled up in fetal position.

"Zim...are you alright?" You asked softly, although the answer was obviously in the negative. You cautiously walked over and sat down in the puddle next to him. Although he was a fucking asshole, you were still disturbed by the pain he was feeling and felt genuinely worried for him.

"I-I'm fine human...don't look at me for a second!" He hollered into the floor.

"Bullshit, you need hel-" When you reached out and grabbed his shoulder, He shot up and smacked your hand away. You both immediately realized the mistake he made, and although you knew those were contacts. The bright magenta eye that stared back at you still made you fall back in shock.

"...I knew it.." Zim's hurting expression changed to threatening in a millisecond.

"I knew you knew it!..You and the Dib-stink are planning to capture me and touch my organs aren't you! I invited your festering being here so I could at least stop one of you! Last thing Zim needs is two Dibs running around!" It's official...you're deaf.

"Ok, calm the hell down! You're absolutely right about Dib, he seriously wanted to kill you and fondle your-"

"Yes! Zim is right again! Now you are going to say that you're-"

"Not going to autopsy you!" You grasped both of his shoulders as you shouted this back at him. You saw his two colored eyes widen and his head tilted with confusion,

"Huh?"
