I have always enjoyed my work at the cafe. It's so relaxing. Even during peak hour, I am still enjoying it. Being able to make coffee, serve people and see the happiness on their faces after drinking the coffee makes me happy too!

One evening, a guy with a cute face came into the cafe. Oh he's really cute.

Maybe I was staring for too long that the guy standing in front of me had to wave his hand to bring me back to reality and out of my own thoughts.

"One Mocha Frappé please, thank you." Oh and he's a guy full of manners. Wow. Just like my ideal type.

"Excuse me??" I guess I was out of it again when the guy in front had to snap me back, again.

"Oh sorry, I wasn't really in the right state of mind. Hehehe"

"It's okay." The guy smiled and shrugged it off. Oh he has a nice gummy smile too. How lovely.

Just with that, I have fallen in love.

I have been watching him ever since and I realised that he has been staying there for quite some time already. I was wondering why was he staying here for so long while staring at him when he suddenly turned over and caught me staring at him. Just like this, we held eye contact for quite some time before breaking it at the same time. Throughout that short period of time, it felt like he was staring through my soul and my heart was beating so fast I thought it would jump out of my chest anytime.

Is this what people call love at first sight?

I quickly snap out of my thoughts and get back to work, trying very hard not to be distracted by that particular guy anymore. Was it just me or I felt like he kept stealing glances at me as well?

Until night time, it was finally time to pack up and close the store and go home to rest after a long day at work. The whole store was already empty, however, that guy was still there.

I hesitantly walked up towards him and lightly tapped him on the back which caused him to turn around with a sleepy face. Oh my god, why is he so cute?? "Huh? Oh hey!" he said with excitement once he realised I was standing in front of him and his expression changed from a sleepy one to a happy and excited one.

"Ermm..I'm sorry to disturb you from your rest, sir, but we are closing and you have to leave.." I calmed myself down before speaking.

"Ohhh, it's okayy. Thanks for waking me up. Are you going home now?" He asked right away. I was shocked but answered a "yes" nonetheless.

"Why not I walk you home? It's kind of dangerous for a girl to walk home alone in this darkness." He suggested. Oh, such a gentlemen. "Don't worry, I'm not a bad person. I won't do anything bad to you." He continued as he sees me hesitating. Oh yea, that's right, I don't even know if I could trust him...but my hearts tells me to just let him escort me home.

"And how would I know?" I decided to have some fun.

"Well...if you think so then...I didn't know I look like a bad person, many people say I look kind." He said sadly while pouting...AND I really did just almost died on the spot.

"HAHA I was just kidding. Yeah, you look kind...and cute!!" I couldn't help myself and pinched his cheeks a little. After I realised what I have just done, I quickly pulled my hands back and looked down in embarrassment while lightly hitting my own head, mumbling, "Aish, why did you do that??"

However, he just held my hand, preventing me from hitting myself anymore and said, "HAHAHA, well you are cute too!!" while laughing away. DID HE JUST SAY I'M CUTE. I--

With that, we just walked home together. Surprisingly, he lives in my neighbourhood though I have never seen him around before. On the way, we introduced ourselves shared many hilarious stories with each other all the way till we reached my house and we parted our ways.

The next day at work, he appeared again. And, he waited till my work ended again. We walked home together while chatting like we were close friends who have never seen each other for a long period of time.

Days after days, the same routine has been repeating and...my feelings had been growing stronger and stronger. But, does he feel the same?

One day, Xiumin came in with a bouquet of flowers.

"What's that for?" I asked out of curiosity.

"It's for my soon-to-be girlfriend. I have this girl I laid my eyes on for quite some time already...and today is her birthday, I might as well do it on her special day then." He answered and smiled warmly.

"Ohh.." That's all I could say in respond before trying to crack a joke, "hey, what makes it so sure she will agree to being your girlfriend huh?" He just shrugged and said, "I just hope so."

"Hmm, why not tell me about this girl? Since I have time now anyways...c'mon"

"So...I first met her in a certain coffee shop." Oh...just like me huh? Why can't it be me instead... Xiumin then continued, "That day, I couldn't forget how she stared at me and zoned out HAHAHA she was just being so cute. I just stayed all the way till her shift ended. I wanted to spend some time with her so I suggested to walk her home and she cracked a joke on me. I could never ever, forget how beautiful her laughter was. Since then, I kept doing the same things and it became a daily routine that I couldn't live without." That's when I decided to cut him, realising he's talking about... me. However he just hushed me and continued, "She is definitely one special girl. I was never this open...but this girl...she managed to make me say out stories I have never shared with anyone, managed to make me laugh more than I usually do and... most importantly, she managed to make my heart beat way faster than anyone else ever did. Yes, that girl is you. Happy birthday, my special girl!!"

After hearing his whole speech...I teared up. I was just so touched and surprised.

"Hey...don't cry. Now on to the serious question, will you be my girlfriend?" I just nodded as a response as I was too choked up to say anything.

"HAHA don't cry anymoreee. See, told you these were for my soon-to-be girlfriend. Here, now it's for my girlfriend alreadyy~ And I'm quite surprised you don't even remember your own birthday."

He just hugged me tight (A/N: //cues hold me tight) , seeing me cry without saying anything.

This is my best birthday present ever.
