Chapter 28: Ugh! Second day!

After an hour na kami nakarating sa beach, dumaan pa kasi kami sa 7/11, mabuti nga't hindi sa grocery store kami pumunta, and mabuti nalang kami lang tatlo nina Jason and Nathaniel and pumasok, at least walang hassle, well, except for us buying our own burgers at kinain namin sa loob ng 7/11 while the others waited outside.

"sunset!" I exclaimed happily, pointing at the sun setting at naghilera kami sa sand, the others sa likod namin and we watched in peace.

"hey," sabi ni Jason na nasa right ko.

"mm?" I asked without looking at him.

"sa tingin mo, magkakaibigan pa din tayo after 10 years?"

I thought for a moment, what will happen in 10 years?

"what we have now," sabi ko, "I don't want to lose it." I leaned forward and rested my chin sa knees ko, "in 10 years, magkakaibigan padin tayo. Hindi naman kailangang magusap tayo every day or every month. Kahit pa after 10 years pa tayo magkikita na walang contakan, we will still be friends, as long as you keep that in mind..and heart"

"mmm" sagot nila and we fell into a comforting silence once again.

"naalala mo nung una tayong nakakilala?" tanong ni Bryce out of the blue and I glanced at him with a creased forehead.

"sa may alley?" tanong ko and he nodded, his eyes focused on the sun, "yes, I remember, sabi mo pa nga, 'iwan mo na nga yan', mabuti nalang makulit si Nathaniel" and I heard a chuckle sa tabi niya, that's Nathaniel.

"I'll keep it up" sabi niya and I smiled.

"bakit mo tinanong?" I asked Bryce.

"hindi ka namin iniwan" he said.

"huh?"

"yeah, nung nagstop ka sa isang store? we were there, hinitay namin na makasakay at makauwi ka bago kami umalis" sabi ni Nathaniel.

"really!?" I remember that night. I stopped sa isang store para bumili ng pang gamot ko sa mga sugat ko, then too late na nung naalala kong hindi pa pala ako nagte thank you.

"Why are you telling that to me now?" I asked.

They shrugged their shoulders.

It was that aweful night that brought them to me, or me to them.

So I realized na there really is a blessing in disguise, kahit pa gaano kapangit ang nangyayari, meron at meron ding mangyayaring maganda pagkalipas. God has a plan, he won't let us experience what we are experiencing kung wala siyang magandang plan.

"bakit ka nakangiti?" tanong ni Bryce, nakatingin na pala siya sa akin.

"I am just thanking God, for giving you to me, I mean, lahat kayo" I answered and he ruffled my bangs.

"nagugutom ako" biglang sabi ng kung sino man sa likod at saktong tumunog yung tyan ko.

"tayo na" utos ni Bryce and we all stood up.

"yeah!!!" sigaw ni Nathaniel habang nag iinat.

"kelan uli tayo pupunta rito?" I asked.

"kung kelan mo gusto" answered Bryce tapos inakbayan ako ni Jason and Bryce glared at him.

"lagi mo nalang nasosolo si Lexa! magtira ka naman!" sabi niya habang dahan dahan niya akong hinihila palayo kay Bryce na dahan dahan ding lumalapit sa akin.
