50 miles and three iced lattes later, Jay reached her cousins' home. She parked the Impala in their long concrete driveway, taking her fourth latte into the house. Lily was on the porch waiting for her. She was hyped up and ready to go, but Jay was walking slow, drinking her latte and yawning. They went in together, meeting Jay's parents in the foyer. The blonde stretched out his hand. "Victor," he said. They each shook his head, saying their names in response.

"Dmitry," the other said, not offering his hand. Jay nodded fervently.

The brothers led them to different rooms in the mansion, with Jay's parents in one room and Jay and Lily in another. Lily hauled all her stuff up to the room.

"Geez, Lil, how much junk you got in your trunk?" Jay asked jokingly.

Lily stuck her tongue out, grinning.
