Amber's POV

Nico keeps on getting better and better.
I swear we're best friends already.

I was texting my mom and glanced up every so often making sure no one was watching.
I out on a smile as everyone started laughing.

She says: Where are you.
She says: Did you really leave?
She says: He was only drunk.

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?

I say: So that's it everynight? Everyday?
I say: That's what you always say. Aren't you sick of it too?

Suddenly I got a call.
I looked at Annabeth. "I'll be right back.."

She nodded and I sheepishly walked outside and close the door behind me.

"Hello?"
"Young Lady. Come home right now!"
"Mom. I'm not going to!"
"You better."
"No. I'm sick of you, and dad always bossing me around. You don't even care."
"Excuse me?!"
"Yeah. And I HATE Nancy."
"Amber-Persephone-Bobofit."

She yelled through the phone and I covered the speaker looking around.
"Mom! Shh!"
"Don't shush me young lady. I don't care what you're doing. Or where you are. You come home right now. Or We're kicking you out for real."

I sighed as tears filled my eyes.
"I-I'm going to. Just give me some time to walk home because I'm a-"

Someone snatched my phone out of my hands and I spun around trying to grab it.
It was Leo.
I think he's Leo. Yeah.
He shook his head.
At me?
Who knows.

"Is this how you live?"
I nodded.

"NICO NICO NICO NICO NICO NICO!!!"
He yelled running back in.
The call didn't end yet.
The call didn't end yet.
The call didn't end yet.
The call didn't end yet.
The call didn't end yet.

This is bad.
This is really bad.
"Leo! End the call!"

He looked down at the phone and slammed it down on the floor cracking it.

"LEO!"

He ran into the room where everyone watched us. Leo jumped over the table and tripped all over himself.

He whispered into Nico's ear like a mad bulldozer.
Nico's eyes found mine and his eyes widened.

"Seriously?! Amber!"

I turned around and wiped my tears.
"I have to go home.. Thanks for letting me sort of stay.."

I walked out the door until I heard a head splitting cracking noise and a scream.

I fell to the ground and I saw dots everywhere.
They all surrounded me.
"Amber. Do you hear me?"

I tried to speak but I coughed up blood and everything went black.
