Twenty-Four - FINAL CHAPTER

Start from the beginning

I was satisfied

Answering machine

Hearing your name

Next to mine."

I know what I'm going to tell him. I'm just not sure that I can. Not with the tears running down my cheeks. I know if I even open my mouth, I'll start crying my eyes out.

"So what do we do now?

Everything we built

We broke it

Everything's shattered and broken

I can't get you outta my head

Ta all fallin' down

Time that we get goin'

Things that you need told me

I thought you were the one."

Calm down your breathing, Chey. You gotta tell him. You gotta tell him you know that he's unsure now if we should be together. You gotta tell you know he's still willing to try. You gotta tell him that you love him.

"So what do we do now?

Everything we built

We broke it

Everything's shattered and broken

I can't get you outta my head

Ta all fallin' down

Time that we get goin'

Things that you need told me

I thought you were the one."

The music slowly dies down, but I know I won't be able to say anything, so I do the only logical thing in my brain. I run off. I know! I know! It's not actually logical, but I'm upset. That means Casey's getting a call from me.

"Hello?"

"Casey, I need your advice," i was correct. I'm sobbing so hard that I can barely talk.

"Okay, I'm listening," she says after a few moments of shuffling.

"He sang a really good song that made me think. I know what he did was wrong, but from the beginning, I should've trusted him! I should've let him know that I trust him by letting him explain! I mean, if I can't do that, why should me and him have a relationship?"

"Cheyenne, calm down. I would love to help you, but this is between you and your heart. I would love to make decisions for you, but I can't. I'm sorry. Just listen to your heart."

"Casey, I never listen to my heart. You know this. I'm not even sure I know how!"

"You'll know. Trust me." With that, the line goes dead.

"Okay, heart. I'm listening. What do I do," I say aloud.

"Okay, wow this is stupid," I shake my head.
