It's been 6 days since Casey and I admitted who we liked. Honestly, I don't even think I like Shawn. It was just me being disgusted, so my emotions were out of whack. Yeah. That's it.

Today it's Friday, and Casey has driven us to school. We are now heading into the school and to our lockers.

"I haven't seen Max today. Have you," Casey asked as we open our lockers.

"Nope. Thank God. I don't know if I can deal with all of that drama on a Friday," I say, getting my things out and shutting the door to my locker. 

"I heard that Max isn't going to get here until 3rd period because she has a doctors appointment," Casey says as we start walking to class.

"I hope that's true. I don't have any classes with her except  first, third, and free period. I'll be free of her until the end of the day," I reply as I walk into the classroom.

Wow, it's hot in here.

Not even a few seconds after I walk in and sit down, our principal's voice comes over the intercom.

"Attention students and teachers, please excuse the interruption. We are having issues with the air at the moment, so on today everyone should report to the gym in a fashionable manner. Thank you." And with that, everyone rushes out the door and towards gym.

As I walk out, I crash into somebody.

"Sorry Cheyenne," Aaron says as we continue walking in the crowded halls.

"It's fine. So where's Shawn? I expected you to be hanging out with him," I state, playing it cool.

"We got into an argument," he says as his jaw clenches.

"What about," I ask.

"He likes somebody close to me, and I'm not going to let him hurt her."

Wait... Shawn likes somebody? Oh. Okay. I mean, that's no big deal. I'll just forget about him anyway... Yeah... Definitely. He was just a silly crush.
