Casey Mitchell
After our date, Aaron was going to take me home first, but I wanted to check on Cheyenne first. Considering the fact that I'm pretty mean when I want to be, he obliged. When we got there, Cheyenne was passed out on the couch, but you could tell she cried a lot more after we left. That fact broke me into a million pieces.
I helped Aaron by cleaning up the tissues and ice-cream buckets as he took his sister to her bedroom. When he came back down, he took me home and that was that plus a kiss or two.
Now, it's Saturday. Since Aaron has football practice, I told him I would take care of Cheyenne. I don't mind, honestly. I miss my best friend. After about an hour, Cheyenne wakes up.
"Can you pass me my phone," she asks as she plops down next to me on the couch.
"Are you sure you want it? What if Shawn has texted you? Can you handle that?"
"Yeah, I can. He came over last night and explained everything. I have to call him, and tell him if I forgive him or not," she states, clearly annoyed.
"He came over," I exclaim.
"Max had a topless picture of me. If Shawn didn't kiss her, she was going to send it to everyone. He kissed her, but she didn't delete it. He took her phone and deleted it for her. The end," she says, grabbing her phone herself.
"So did he see," I ask.
"He didn't see anything he didn't already love. That's what he told me," she shrugs, dialing a number.
"Are you calling him," I ask.
She nods before saying,"Hey, Shawn."
I get up to get us both drinks before sitting down next to her and handing one over.
"I'm sorry, Shawn! You don't exactly have any actual proof," she exclaims.
Ugh, when do i meet you there," she's obviously annoyed.
"Alright. See you there," she rolls her eyes.
She heads towards the stairs when we hear a knock at the door. She groans as she walks towards the door.
Proof that my best friend is not a morning person. You've seen it here, folks.
I notice that nobody is there, and I start to believe some kids are just ding-dong ditching until she bends downs. She walks inside with a box in her hands as she closes the door and sets it on a dining room table.
"In the movies, this is when we open the box, see someone's head, and get killed ourselves," she says as she casually takes off the ribbon.
"And you still open the box," I question.
She nods as she takes off the top. She takes out a beautiful, long, peach colored dress that falls to the floor, and a pair of clear jelly flip flops with glitter and a bow tie design with rhinestone jewel embellishments. She then takes out a note, and she reads aloud.
"Dear baby girl, it's okay if you don't forgive me. I understand. Just wear this when we meet at the beach. I love you. Love, Shawn."
"If you are going to wear that, you should wear the blue jean jacket you have. It'll piece together the whole outfit," I say.
"You support me getting back with him," she asks.
"Not yet. He'll need to earn his trust back, but given the circumstances, he deserves a chance," I say.
"Okay. I'll go get ready," she says, taking the box and it's containments upstairs.
"I'm helping you," I call, following her.

I did Cheyennes make-up and hair. I left her with a natural make-up look, and I braided her hair loosely to the side. To say she looked beautiful would be an understatement.
"Would you like me to drive you," I ask as we leave her room.
"I'm heading to watch Aaron practice, so it's on the way," I shrug.
"How is that on the way," she asks.
"I'm getting iced coffee from Starbucks. Aaron loves iced coffee."
"Yeah, that'd be nice," she nods, grabbing her phone and keys as we walk out the now locked door.
We climb into my car and stay silent as I drive her towards the beach. Once we arrive, I turn off the car and turn towards her.
"If you need anything, call," I remind her.
"I will."
"Chey," I warn.
"I will, Casey. I just have a lot on my mind right now. If I don't forgive him, I'm probably going to walk around a bit anyway," she shrugs.
"Alright. I love you," I say, as I lean over to her and hug her.
"I love you too," she says as she gets out of the car and starts to walk near the rocks, where Shawn said to meet her. I swear, if he hurts her, he's going to die.
