Casey Mitchell

It's been a week since Halloween, and thankfully, nobody is sick anymore. After Shawn got over his cold, Cheyenne got sick as well. That's okay though, since that meant Aaron and I got more alone time. We went to Starbucks for a coffee date, and we even played laser tag with Taylor and Cameron. Which are both hot, but I've got Aaron and he is all I'll ever need.

Today is Friday, which means it's both Aaron and mines one month anniversary, along with Shawn's and Cheyennes. I love that we have the same date. I'm not sure why, I just do.

Also I love that today is the last day of that monthly annoying thing girls must deal with every month. Their period. Like seriously, can't Mother Nature just call me up and say "Hey, sorry to bother you, but you're not pregnant. Also you're perfectly healthy. Aaron's cute by the way. You tryna get rid of me for a month?" with a laugh then hang up.

Okay maybe not the last part, but still.

Anyway, as I was saying. Today is Friday, and I've had a boyfriend for a month. Whew! Believe it or not, this shit is tiring. What are you even supposed to do with a boyfriend? What do you feed it?

I swear, I'm not a normal child. Neither is my best friend. That's it. She's the reason. I'm blaming her for everything!

Or I could just keep the blame directed at myself like a mature person since it really is my fault. Nah.

Oh right. Right now, I'm in my last period. English. After the dismissal bell, I'm supposed to take Cheyenne to my house, so we can get ready for our double date with Shawn and Aaron. Obviously them. Not Cameron or anything.

Cue nervous laughter.

Nah, I'm just kidding. Aaron is my baby.

Tell him I said that, and I will cut a bitch. Preferably you.

As soon as the bell rings, I walk out of class and towards the front of the school. Before I can make it there, I'm pulled into an empty classroom - all of them are empty at the moment - and pushed into a wall. I don't even have a chance to react before I feel a pair of lips collide with mine. I immediately recognize those pair of lips as Aaron's, so I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss back.

Not going to lie. I'm loving life right about now.

I don't even know how long we were making out before a voice interrupts us.

"Ew, gross guys," Cheyenne says. I see that her nose is scrunched in disgust which causes me to laugh. "C'mon, Casey. We've got to get ready," she changes the subject quickly before turning around and walking down the hallway, most likely done with the view of us making out.

"Yeah, she's right. I should probably go," I state, turning my head towards Aaron once more.

"Okay," he pouts, leaning down to kiss me once more, but gently this time. "Happy one month," he smiles.

I kiss him on the cheek as we leave the classroom and go down the hall Cheyenne went down. I notice that Cheyenne is still in hall. Wouldn't she be in the parking lot by now?

I walk up to her and see a look of terror mixed with what seems to be heartbreak. I follow her gaze to see Max (or Maxine, whichever you prefer) kissing Shawn who is up against the wall.

If Aaron sees this, Shawn is sure to get a beatdown. I look at Aaron and, with my hand, tell him to stop walking. I hope he hasn't seen Shawn around the corner yet.

"Do you want Aaron to beat his ass," I ask.

She nods her head as a single tear falls down her face. Then another. Then another. Before I know it, her face has become an ocean, but she makes no sound. I motion for Aaron to start walking again, and I point to Shawn and Max. He looks over to see what I had seen.

"You fucking bastard," Aaron bellows, causing Maxine to back off, smirking towards us.

"Shit," Shawn swears. "Chey, it's not what it looks li-"

"Don't you say a fucking word to her because I will gladly beat your ass after Aaron. You've done enough Shawn," I say before I wrap an arm around Cheyenne and lead her out of the school. She has yet to make a sound although we're now inside of my car.

"Cheyenne," I try.

"Don't," she says with no emotion.

"Okay," I mumble.

"Fuck," she screams, hitting the car window. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! How could I be so fucking stupid? He was the same stupid ass bastard a month ago that he is today! I fell for that!"

"Cheyenne, it's," I cannot finish my sentence.

"It's okay? It's fucking okay? Is that what you were going to say? That I'm going to be fucking okay? I love him, Casey! He doesn't fucking know, but I do! I love him with every single fucking thing in me, but he screwed that shit up, so now I'm fucking empty. I am empty because he couldn't keep his stupid fucking dick in his pants," she sobs. At least she's getting it out.

"Do you want me to take you home," I ask, cautious.

"That would be wonderful," she says bitterly.

Remind me to kill Shawn.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay? I'm sure Aaron would love to be here for you too," I try for the third time.

After I brought Cheyenne home, she changed into a pair of black shorts and one of Shawn's T-Shirts, which made her cry even more, so she changed into one of her own. I then gave her ice-cream before giving her Aaron's laptop (hers is at my house), and letting her watch Netflix.

"I'm sure. Don't let me ruin your date. Really. I'm fine," she says the same sentence the same way she did the first two times, as if she rehearsed it.

"Okay. Call me if you need anything," I tell her before hugging her and leaving her house. Let's hope she truly is okay.
