Casey Mitchell

After Cheyenne and I split up, I went over to Carter and Max who are currently in a relationship only to hear them arguing.

"What do you mean you never want to see me again? I changed for you, Carter! I actually like you," Max sobbed.

"Well I just played you, so fuck off," he said, rolling his eyes.

"I don't believe that," she said confidently. "You've never been with anyone for 5 months, but you and I have. You obviously love me," she cries.

"Well there's this thing called 5 months of lies. Look it up," he says, rolling his eyes and walking off.

I know I hate her, but we were friends once. I can't pretend that I wasn't her best friend for years.

Just as I'm about to walk up to her, a hand grabs mine and turns me toward the owner.

"Oh, hey Aaron," I smile. "Happy birthday."

"Oh," he nervously rubs the back of his neck and turns pink. "Thanks. Can we sit and talk," he asks, pointing at the couch.

I look at Max crying in a corner across the room, and decide that I'll just make Aaron talk quickly.

"Yeah, but make it quick," I nod, sitting.

"Well, I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the homecoming dance with me? Neither of us have dates, and we know each other pretty well so," he shrugs.

"Yeah okay," I smile.

"Oh okay, good. I'll see you then," he smiles too, walking off. Well he starts to anyway. Then he turns around and kisses my cheek before actually walking off.

Holy shit, Cheyenne deserves a hug.

I run over to Max and tap her on the shoulder. She turns around, and she rolls her eyes.

"I bet you're going to go blab to everyone, aren't you," she says, rolling her eyes.

"No. I was just making sure you're okay," I say, as I grab her arm and take her to the couch.

"No, I'm not. I had one bad hair day yesterday, so my friends told me I wasn't part of their group anymore. Like what the fuck? Then Carter just said he doesn't want anything to do with me, but I thought we had something special," she sobs.

"Well I'm no pro at this, but if you've changed, Cheyenne and I will be happy to take you back.

"I know how you guys feel now. I've changed, and I'm sorry," she says.

"I know babe. Carter is a douche anyway. You need a real man," I say, flexing my muscles and deepening my voice, causing her to laugh. We spend the rest of the night talking and laughing. Around 8:45pm, Cheyenne came inside from the back porch and say beside me, so I explained to her what happened and that's how we got the group back together.
