Kimberly was kissing me.
I guess I have my answer.
It was an amazing moment.
Until.
"Bubby! Who is this girl!?!"
My mother had showed up at the dock.
It was nice while it lasted.
Kim turned pulling my arm around her shoulders.
"You must be Ruth! I've heard so many nice things about you! I'm Kimberly, Hi and I literally just started dating, is that alright with you ma'am? I'm one of Tory's friends from up north, we ran into each other while they were up that way. She asked if I wanted to visit, my parents approved. Hiram and I just kinda clicked." She laid it on thick.
"You seem like a very lovely young lady, I do approve. But if you hurt my Bubby's feelings you will never be able to visit again."
"Thank you Mrs. Stolowitski."
"Yeah, thanks mom." I said.
"Now, I heard you five caught the escapees. Please don't say it's true."
"It is." All of us in unison.
"Then let's see then." Tom said.
I saw Tory text someone as we walked.

When we reached the clearing, my mother nearly shrieked at the sight of the people tied up.
"Umm. Where's Anthony Goodwin?" She asked.
"He uh.. Swam off. He couldn't have gotten far out here." Ben said.
"Well let's call the police." She pulled out a phone and called.
