Its been one whole decade since I got that phone call... One whole decade has passed since Wes and I shared those moments together.. So much changed afterwards, its astonishing how different things are.
In the days that followed, a simple, mutual split occurred between two equally incapable adults. One because of the career that keeps them moving, and one because of the life that never was.. I sometimes wonder that maybe I made the wrong decision, not getting on that flight with him, and not continuing to keep contact with him.
Wes continued to travel, DJ, produce music- now he is even more famous than he was before. Of course, Skrillex shared the fame, with Jack U becoming one of the hottest groups out there.
And I- I now have a nine year old son, with blue hair and grayish blue eyes, and a smile that lights up his whole face.
And I wouldn't trade that for the world.
