No.
This wasn't happening.
It couldn't. In what world could this be happening? It wasn't possible. I glanced at Alexa again, across from me. She was smiling at Max, and I felt my insides go warm. No. No. No. This was Alexa. Alexa that I had known all my life. My sister's Parabatai. She was basically my sister!
I looked at her again. Her long black hair was falling gracefully down her shoulders. She was wearing dark jeans and a red flannel. Her red pendant necklace lay at her throat, along with the necklace she had gotten from Matthew. Her electrum whip was coiled around her wrist safely.
"What are you staring at?" Austin asked from beside me.
"Nothing." I said a little too quickly.
"Is it Alexa?" He asked amusedly.
"How did you know?" I demanded.
"You're my brother, Logan, of course I'd be able to figure it out." Austin smirked.
"Well, I know that you like Charlotte." I smirked.
He turned red. "Don't tell anyone."
"I won't." I chuckled. "You should just tell her. I bet she likes you back."
Austin shook his head. "Not unless you tell Alexa."
I sighed. "I can't. She's basically like our sister."
"Then I'm not going to tell Charlotte." He said amusedly, and I rolled my eyes humorously.
Just then aunt Tessa walked into the dining room of my house. She had a big smile on her face, and she seemed very happy. Will had said she had gone on a walk. Speaking of Will, he was gazing at Alexa from the end of the table. He likes her, I thought, and jealousy suddenly went through me.
What? I didn't get jealous, and especially not over a girl. But I couldn't ignore the feeling in my stomach. I stared at Alexa again, and then quickly broke my gaze. I looked down the table, to see my father smirking at me. Damn it, I thought, he knows I like her.
"So Lex," My father started suddenly. "Are seeing anyone?"
Alexa looked surprised. "No. I'm um, still not really over Matthew."
"Don't worry, I bet you someone will come along soon." My father said, and his gaze slid sideways to me.
"I hope not." Uncle Simon said sternly. "This boy better be good."
"Oh he will be, I'm sure." My father smirked at me.
I glared at him, and he chuckled quietly.
"Dad." Alexa whined.
"He's just teasing, honey." Aunt Isabelle said.
"I'm not." Uncle Simon mumbled under his breath.
Dinner went by quickly after that, and afterwards all of us kids sat upstairs in one of the bedrooms talking. My eyes kept going over to Alexa, and I had to stop myself. Max, Austin, Will and I were all sitting in a group, and the girls were sitting with each other.
"When are we going to get out of here." Will groaned. "There's absolutely nothing to do here."
"I don't know, I like it here." Max said.
"That's because your girlfriend lives here." Austin rolled his eyes humorously, and Max blushed.
"Speaking of girlfriends," Will started. "Why haven't you asked Charlotte out yet?"
